My N64 stuff is laying around my house in random places because my oldest nephew (just became a teenager) absolutely loves retro hardware. So much fun.
Zink
It probably depends on use case. There are plenty of situations where having numpad on the right makes perfect sense for right handed people.
But I’m an oddball who is very much right handed but uses the mouse left handed because my right wrist got so much wear and tear from early life data entry work.
Tried Jellyfin because of Plex enshittification…
…stuck with Jellyfin for the better performance!
I think that advice is specific to the “underground heat exchanger” type of heat pump.
In my last few trips to the local Home Depot, the self checkout machines have worked fine but the human helpers have insisted on being helpful. They’re fine though, lol.
I’ve had a lifetime Plex pass for many years. I have converted completely over to Jellyfin after trying it.
It’s more involved to set up for secure remote access, but once in place it is so much smoother to use.
That was my same thought. The enemy is too strong but also too weak?
Yeah I remember that world. But I bet it helps that we were the last generation where our culture was pretty centralized around television & radio and not the Internet & podcasting.
In hindsight all I see is a corporate media veneer filtering anything my friends or I saw. But hey at least we got some fun Wild West years on the internet afterwards.
40+ here too, but in the US.
It’s wild. I’m sure it will come as no surprise that I grew up in a society that assumed America was the center of the universe and that everywhere else on earth was foreign and strange and may as well not exist because we’re the best at everything anyway.
It’s very strange and distressing to see how that image of our country has changed for me and for others our age.
You either do something and are immediately good at it, or you should just stop altogether.
I bet this line speaks to a lot of fellow lemmings who are middle aged nerds with ADHD and were “gifted” in school.
I love lamp.
I’ve learned that my brain’s ADHD department needs the opposite. It needs constant stimulation to keep it distracted so that it leaves me alone to have some semblance of executive function.
Audio stimulation works best. I used to always listen to podcasts, but I’ve found that specific types of music are best for getting work done. (in my case, it’s upbeat energetic thrash and groove metal)
