Reasons why companies with union jobs might provide better services due to employees being more personable and reliable:

  • Higher wages and better benefits attract people more serious about their work
  • Higher wages and better benefits reduce stress in the life of employees, making them more personable on the job
  • Unions negotiate employee contracts to limit things like quotas, resulting in lower stress, happier employees

There are probably other reasons too, since I’m just going off the cuff here, but it absolutely makes sense to me that the company with non-union jobs in this industry provides the worst service.

Well yeah, even 24 hours later it picks up and oxidized flavor (port-like) and becomes a shadow of its former glory. So no, it’s not gonna get you sick, but you should definitely finish it the night you open it for maximum enjoyment.

Guess that’s the difference between union and non-union employees.

It’s like the packages get to the last mile warehouse a day early, so the system says “it’s here, let’s send it a day early”. Then some idiot in either the warehouse or on the truck sees the package and says “oh this wasn’t scheduled to be delivered till tomorrow? Fuck that, it’s not going on the truck till tomorrow”

Happened so many times for me with FedEx now, I just disregard any updates they send.

The Qatari looks dead and lifeless, staring into the distance in the AI one.

The real one he looks quite sinister, like he’s pulling the strings and he knows it. Part of that is, as you mentioned, his look into the camera, and another part is the lighting the artist chose, which is entirely absent in the AI image.

You just turn it inside out and wash with cold water and soap when needed. Then dry in the sun.

What about a bread bag? Like the kind Keeki makes? Thats what I use.

Where would those fall?

Give me the desktop version! I’ve got an old SFF pc ready to become my home console, since I never got an Xbox Series or PS5

Feel like the summary was missing the key detail as to why he was arrested:

The woman and the Tesla driver “exchanged words” before he got out of the Tesla and assaulted the woman and her mother, 35, who was a passenger, police said. The Tesla driver then fled.

So… is that a lot?

Well I’ve been trying like hell to get a launch one with no success. I think my only hope now is the Nintendo Reservation system, if they continue to open up to more like they said they would.

But if I can’t get one and then the price goes up, I’ll just pass.

So lets say my home instance is Instance A, but I'm browsing Community 1 in Instance B. Now in that community I see a comment that I want to reply to with a link to a comment I saw in Instance C, community 2, just because I think it's the most relevant to the discussion.

If I use the URL from the 2 chains "link" icon, that will send users to https://instance.a/comment/####### on my home instance. So that will send anyone from another instance who follows my link, to my instance and log them out of their account....

If I use the URL from the rainbow network "link" icon, it will send the user to https://instance.c/comment/#######, thus logging them out of their account on their instance (unless instance c happens to be their home).

But what about users coming across the conversation from Instance B? Or Instance D or F, or H? Is there a way to format the URL for that link such that anyone can follow it without moving to another instance, and/or logging out of their home instance?

This feels to me like it would be an important core feature of a platform like this.... otherwise when sharing ideas, usability becomes... challenging.
