Ah, I remember that, but since I never watched it i couldn't recognize a scene.

Definitely fair, and no argument against. Though, in both instances that I got laid off, it was on the 5th round of layoffs, and my bosses (who I got along with both times) got laid off before me in the 4th round. In addition, at one of the companies I was friends with the person who cut access and all, and they kept it secret from even her until the day after taking her phone and keeping them in a locked room. Both times someone either way up the chain or from HR delivered the news, so not sure the bosses would have even came into the convo, had they not already been canned anyway

Hmm, what's your definition of quiet quitting? The definition I understand is doing your job as it is described to you, but not doing any of the "going the extra mile" for free, or putting in extra effort beyond what the job description entails.

I'm also curious if those replying to you also have the same or different definitions, since conversations only work if we agree on the definition of terms.

Oh, Sugi didn't make that up? Interesting...

Eh,my current manager was under me prior to a change in teams. I didn't go for that position because I hate management. He's still a great guy who largely lets me work however I need to, and shields me from upper management. I like having good managers who can be a buffer between me (tech) and upper management who don't exactly understand what I do.

I'm a baba ganoush fan myself...switch out roasted eggplant for the chickpeas and the recipe is pretty similar.

Dying might change my mind, yes. I seem to be allergic to both kinds of bugs

Mine goes after my feet. Do I mess with his feet? What's with all the questions?!

I understand the appreciation of the..."theatre" of wrestling, but I can't get past how much it destroys their bodies. I don't watch football either. I could watch fiction about both.

Wasn't a cat, but my friends pit pup started treating it like a game. Act up, I grab the bottle, she'd square up ready to try and dodge the spray.

The judge ordered them to resubmit the completing without the logos. Didn't dismiss the case, and not sure if there were any other consequences yet, but it seems reasonable to me.

Two people can have the same idea. There's even a term for it in science. Do you think Randall has watched every YouTube video that exists? I personally have never seen the video you linked, and while it has a decent amount of views, 13M over 12 years is pretty insignificant for other viral videos(for instance, nigahiga has multiple videos in the 30-60m range, and plenty more in the same 10-20m range like this video).
