Mixing sodium bicarbonate into water, even with just a teaspoon of acid like vinegar or lemon juice added, is still a good antacid.

It's not dumb in the sense that water that is not alkaline is not the same as water that is alkaline with some added acid.

In Eastern Europe the soft drink created by mixing sodium bicarbonate into water and then adding a tea spoon of lemon juice or vinegar to it was an oft used refreshment before the 80s.

This model does not seem to be trained for recipes.

Is there an appeals procedure?

It was hitting the Americas and the Pacific. And both hemispheres, so north and south alike. That's because that side of the Earth was facing the sun at that time. I assume the south received the brunt of it due to the axial tilt going into southern summer.

So it was not the entire planet, just the two hemispheres of North and South and specifically mostly the Americas and the Pacific.

Elon must have read KSR's Mars Trilogy and never once thought this might end badly.

Nope.

I think it has more to do with sleeping on it or getting it squished in tight jeans prior, along with the urgency to not having enough time to test the waters.

I hope there's enough political will behind it, like there is behind the REM in Montréal. Those dudes are working miracles in contrast to the shit show that is the Eglinton LRT.

I did not read the article or any of the recent proposals, but I don't see this being truly beneficial unless the HSR can go downtown to Gare Central in Montréal, just like I assume it'd go to Union in Toronto. However Montréal is so densely packed due to its geographical location, the regular ol VIA rail barely makes it in there on shared tracks. I currently can't see how this would work out, unless the HSR made the last 30 km on the same snail-trail that the current services use.

We need election reform and a federal mandate to move past FPTP at every governmental level, from federal elections to the lowest tier municipal elections.
