remember when israeli far right hooligans (maccabi fans) were going around beating up people, shouting slurs, hate speech and threatening a minor journalist in the netherlands and the media reported it as a hunt for jews and an antisemitic attack on israeli football fans (who are literaly notorious for being far right scum) by pro palestinians even after the journalist that took the actual photo corrected them? The media only needs to verify evidence if it makes israel looks bad.

Also which terms? You can't call yourself an MD, RN or an Attorney etc in US and many other countries if you aren't one. You can't market drugs that haven't been approved by the FDA. Also bastardisation isn't a justification for no regulation.

If "privacy friendly" or "secure" were regulated terms most linux distros would have been sued/fined into bankruptcy for deceptive marketing.
