The brothers you have are the best you're going to get.

Make sure you have the brother driver's the actually do help. Everything on my MFC-L3770CDW works.

But yes things like scaling work it's just annoying.

What I will say is it's still better than Windows when it comes to just basic printing.

Dont care, its where the task bar should go, and I should be able to configure it.

obviously a Hedonist.

You seem like the take no prisoner type of person we need at this company!

eh, I used to use slackware, then moved to gentoo, and then to manjaro, arch based but low maint = less tweaking time more game time.

I agree, check local listings for pricing but I would guess that it wont get anywhere near $200 as the list price is $279 for the newest version of this printer.

I would expect to pay 1/2 price or lower for a used entry level bed slinger

I am a little old for a Bo dont ya think?

or pulled pork!

I am always down with some cornbread!

I have a giant Meh, but I'm sure some people will like this idea.

I really want Pebble back but it's not Eric's it's ours it's open source. If Eric wants to make devices that are compatible and extend the platform I'm in support. But it can't be his because he sold it 9 years ago.

I hope he can see that the best way forward is to treat the os like Linux and then build is devices to work with that OS and platform.

Update: https://ericmigi.com/blog/pebble-rebble-and-a-path-forward

Eric made a blog post that has some great responses but also uses some divisive language that unfortunately wont help the situation. Its clear that both sides mean well, there are just some personality conflicts that need to be sorted out because its not their platform. Its ours.

  • Android: Fix a bug which prevented new pairing to a Pebble/Pebble Time watch
  • Handle PBW cache being cleared while running
  • Prevent headers overlapping content on settings screen
  • Android: Handle disconnection event while waiting to pair (previously would hang for 60 seconds)
  • Improve firmware update check error message when not logged into Rebble on legacy devices

Make sure you check all the candy your kids bring home. We have radioactive Cobalt in ours!

So far everything is working and I will update if that changes!

It's so exciting having a bit of technology this old still working still getting support. More tech needs to be this well done.

I feel so naked and my tan line are showing!

It's only been back operational a little while and it's already an extension of me that I notice when gone.

I managed to use ADB to sideload the pebble app. When I go to configure the calendar application it says enable all, but the rest of the screen is blank.

When I look a my timeline on the watch I get the no events sloth :(

Anyone run into issues like this?

I ordered a replacement battery of eBay and followed along with the ifixit guide and somehow did not kill my probably l Pebble!

https://www.ebay.com/itm/266822720719

https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Pebble+Steel+Battery+Replacement/53227

I followed the advice in the comments and did not desolder the old ribbon first but cut it and then soldered the new leeds to the PCB.

I have at best adequate skill so as long as you take your time and go slow with the adhesive it's something that can be done.

Still works to this day, the battery is shot so its at best 2days, but man what other smart watch still works and still is connected to my phone 8 years after I got it.

Most people with Apple watches have had to replace them since their first or second gen dont get updates.
