I'm just saying, Democrats didn't seem to want to do anything to win. They wouldn't commit to reappointing Lina Khan, for whatever reason decided that running around with a Cheney would be a good idea, and messed up a million other things. It wasn't just Gaza, they did everything they could to make sure they wouldn't win, seemingly, in service of the donors.

The donors were happy, gave her more money than Trump got, and they still lost because you need to give the voters something beyond 'Trump will be worse'.

And that's after years of gaslighting about how the economy was doing great under Biden while ignoring how much real wages got inflated away from the pandemic until now (and I'm not saying Trump is better on any of those issues, mind you, his voters just tend to not notice when they're being lied to because the right built an information bubble that's impervious to the truth).

Yeah, the problem has always been that Democrats want to 'look forward, not back' and just don't punish Republicans whenever they do this shit.

Happened after Nixon, Reagan, Bush Jr and Trump I. And then you see the exact same characters crawling out of the woodwork and trying again. Roger Stone is always there and hasn't spent significant time in prison.

Trump tried an actual coup and the only people that went to prison for it were a bunch of yokels who probably didn't even know they were participating in one.

Guess it was more important to make sure children kept getting massacred than winning the Muslim vote in Michigan.

Yeah exactly. There's a bunch of stuff that counts towards the GDP that is actively sucking resources out of the economy. Health care is a good example of that: the most expensive system in the world, with outcomes that are near the bottom of the developed countries. But it's making a few people very rich, so you're not allowed to fix it.

The telegraph is a conservative newspaper, yes.

I'd argue this isn't limited to just the US.

You probably don't want to look up what she said when a crazy right wing guy shot a bunch of politicians in Minnesota.

Definitely sounds like something he'd say.

If you smuggle millions worth of drugs you will be able to afford it.

Evidently he's fine with it as long as you cut him a cheque.

Braun had been a high-ranking member of an international group that smuggled more than 220,460 pounds of marijuana from Canada into the United States, federal prosecutors said at the time.

Why are you doing this when it's legal in both Canada and a bunch of US states? There are so many ways to do the weed thing legally and you're still risking international drug charges?

Also funny that if you're brown and (allegedly) smuggle drugs, Trump will just blow up your boat, if you're white you get a pardon.

Yep, instead of hanging out with Liz Cheney she could've talked more about what she'd do to deal with the cost of living instead of leaving that lane wide open for Trump.
