Uh oh, that means AI will be used to find countless zero-days for hacking purposes.

Gut zu wissen, danke. Du hast mehr journalistische Integrität als Die Zeit.

[–] nebulaone@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago

I didn't dispute that.

God doesn't exist (though there is a tiny, tiny chance there's some higher power that doesn't intervene, because the human intelligence gap is unreasonably huge, making humans undeniably special)

Every organized religion is a cult

Free will is an illusion

Aliens most likely exist, given the insane size of the universe and we know life can exist here

Humans will still always give in to their brutal tribal instincts and that's why the world is how it is

Just use PGP everywhere, it doesn't matter where you chat then.

Yes, although they (methylphenidate) seem to slowly become less and less effective, but maybe it is just me becoming used the medicated state. They are enabling me to "sort" important and "discard" unimportant memories much more effectively, as not to say at all, prior.

Edit: The grestest benefit of the medication was the ability to concentrate properly and me being able to do tasks that I had pushed away from me before. It essentially enabled me to get my shit together.

I think you're right. Man I wish this story was true. Sorry snake.

Edit: Although the snake would have still had to

  1. Realize it was grabbed
  2. Turn head around
  3. Identify target
  4. Attack

Humans are the best animal when it comes to exerting movement forces on objects (throwing, rotating, etc.), so I am not sure about not being bitten. Can't argue about the euphemism, though.

Edit: I am probably wrong, see other reply. He might have taken it by surprise, though.

First of all: DO NOT LINK, AND DO NOT SEARCH FOR IT

It was a dashcam video, that didnt really show any gore, you could just see something (a brick?) flying through the windshield and hitting the person (the drivers wife?) in the passenger seat. I had seen gore videos before, but this one traumatised me forever. The gut wrenching drivers scream fucked me up and made me feel physically sick, I immediately knew it was 100% real. You could be the greatest actor of all time, but you'd never be able to copy that and I never watched these types of videos again.

... if it is confirmed someone died while using it. Especially when advising against chemotherapy and/or operations.

They are much more predictable, well understood and easier to dose than the chemical cocktail of natural compounds. Please note that I am not saying that there aren't any useful natural medicines. I am stating that it is better to isolate the active components.

~~System is Arch Linux. NTFS-3G is installed. I have had this problem on Gnome (Nautilus) and KDE (Dolphin). I already tried fixing it with Testdisk. No success. Any help is appreciated.~~

UPDATE: I have re-formatted the disk and it is working now. Thank you for all your suggestions and tips.

I would love to find extensions that make me think "How did I live without this?"

I just want to play Magic the Gathering Online. I need it for nothing else. It runs like ass under WINE and even Proton. So if there is any other way I can do this, without going the nuclear option, I don"t even need to setup a VM for it.

I know I should be asking my doctor, but even though getting an appointment with a neurologist is free, it takes months where I live.

My problem is that I sometimes have severe pain in the stomach and abdomen. I have had acute Pancreatitis in the past and I fear it might become chronic (pancreas digesting itself).

Is this just a coincidence or does Methylphenidate damage my pancreas further?

Additional info:

  • I was diagnosed with ADHD at age 6

  • This is the first time I am taking medication

  • Daily Dose is 30mg total (extended release 15mg and 15mg)

  • I am not on any other medication
