This was a great show, I loved this in my early 20s.

For me it was MUDs, in particular discworldmud, an entire multiplayer game with only a text interface; type fast or die fast.

All my cities deliveries are on escooters (or whatever those very cool looking electric balancing unicycle things are), I am not sure I know the delivery dude well enough for that level of intimacy.

Thank you for this, on the first watch I thought: "ok the concrete cracked... Is that it?!" After seeing your comment and researching, it's astonishing

I already had a kindle reader so I've chosen not cause more pollution by replacing it.

Now I buy my books from smaller local bookstores as digital editions, use a small tool called knock to change it a epub then use calibre to put it on my kindle for reading.

I particularly like that this way I can also share it with my friends and family as if it were a real book.

Wow, the police where you live must be either pretty good, or pretty bored. If someone stole a bucket of dirt from my garden and I rang the police about it, I genuinely think they'd laugh at me... Honestly so would I.

This is my favourite shower thought post so far.

I didn't know this, and I found it super helpful!
I also didn't know about backslashes
I just used double carriage returns like a wild savage!

Thanks very much :)

It drives me up the wall that steam has data on all of its games about whether it has voice or subtitles in particular languages, but refuses to let me filter by "games voiced in X language". So instead I have to click into each and every one to see if it has the tick or the cross.

Hey!

I want to encourage economic activity within Europe and also ethically align with recycled materials etc.

I'm trying to buy myself a hydration pack for running long distance with, and it's hard to convince myself of anything better than osprey:

  • I'm familiar with the company and they have high standards
  • they have a great guarantee to repair products
  • they use recycled materials
  • the product "Duro 6" fits every requirement that I have

Before I go ahead and buy that, can anyone suggest an equal or better product produced in Europe.

Edit: I ended up with Salomon and it's great!

Hey everyone,

I have a gaming laptop with fedora installed and in general have no problems with it. However I would like to play some games on it from Steam.

So I installed the Nvidia drivers and when the laptop is not using an external monitor it's great, the games performance are 10/10.

However I most often use my laptop plugged into an ultrawide monitor and when I do that with the Nvidia driver active all sorts of strangle artifacts show up on the screen and the edges go blue and shudder, this slowly gets worse over the course of about 15 minutes until I cannot use the laptop at all and need to reboot.

Using the built in drivers the ultrawide monitor is completely fine, but games run very poorly.

Does any one have any experience with this, and any idea if there's something I can do to correct it?
