VJJ has been an interesting test of Bears fans self-delusion.
He was a reach at best in the draft and a head scratching pick from the get-go, he was awful year 1 with mistakes that 25 year olds should not be making in the NFL, and he's continued to be awful.
I wish our fans would just be willing to trust their eyes and call things for what they are for once. Sometimes players and coaches are very bad very quickly and we don't need to wait ~5 years to determine if they're potentially decent.
