He’s the worst coach in the league in almost every aspect. Team preparation, in game management and execution, and media engagement. I can’t believe he throws Fields under the bus like that and then has the gall to talk about “accountability.” The worst part is I think he’s so dumb that he doesn’t know he’s throwing players under the bus. I think he’s so dumb that he actually thinks he’s doing a good job and may be retained after this season.

The most important criteria being that they are both represented by Trace Armstrong who also happened to be on the search committee for some random reason,

The Bears have never demonstrated an ability to judge or develop QBs. They need to stick with Fields one more year while he’s cheap on a rookie deal and re-assess after next season with a new coaching staff. The current staff and scheme is so dysfunctional that I don’t believe you can properly assess anyone, let alone the starting quarterback. Drake Maye and Caleb Williams both have flaws that an organization like the Bears will not overcome. There should be two strategies going into this draft. Option A should be MHJ and the best OL available with the second first round pick. Option B is trading back if some team is willing to sell the farm for Williams or Maye.

I’m terrified that they are going to scratch out 6ish wins and keep Eberflus. He absolutely IS the problem. Just look at his last presser. I don’t care what you think of Fields, good, bad, indifferent. There’s no way a HC should throw ANY player under the bus like that. He’s now in charge of the defense, because apparently he has a penchant for hiring multiple coaches that can’t professionally in the workplace, and look at his decisions last week.

Keep downvoting lemmings. I’m sure you buy into the HITS principle and totally believe Virginia is very concerned about a historically bad franchise.

Kevin Warren was brought in for the stadium deal. Period. I highly doubt he has any real say over the actual on field football operations. I still think it’s George. Hell Ted Phillips is still on the payroll as a “Senior Advisor.”

Because the McCaskeys are too cheap to pay 2 head coaches at once despite running a franchise valued over $6 billion. They haven’t ever fired a coach mid season.

I’m I just re-watched the strip sack play that ended it and…I can’t believe Getsy still has a job this morning. There’s so many things wrong with that particular play call and design in that scenario.

WTF is Getsy doing? That’s the first play and you follow it up with that?
