Mirror or alternate, anyone?

Seems to care less about "saving democracy" than many of his most ardent supporters

Just curious what appeals to you about it if you don't mind sharing haha

Feel free to tack on a few ideas of your own!

  • there is no hell or penalty for not being a part of the religion
  • weekly gatherings happen on Monday mornings (not on the weekend like others)
  • weekly gatherings include a free meal and ample social time with the congregants.

A few key teachings:

  • it is right to make sacrifices in this life to make a better life for our (collective) descendants (if necessary).

  • "full adulthood" and associated responsibilities are to be taken on at about the age of 30. We prepare those younger than that to be ready to take on the challenges of the world once they get to that age.

  • people are expected to prepare themselves for old age, and take a step back from leadership when they are about 60 or 70. The goal is the congregation is to make sure that our younger members are equipped to take care of us and our community, so we can enjoy old age.

  • adults are expected to treat the children of the congregation as "small people", engaging with them, being role models, teaching them responsibilities (at an age appropriate level of course). The congregation takes an interest in supporting parents and families of the congregation and community at large.

  • traditions, rituals, liturgy, and other practices TBD.

It's the Russians who are going to be ready to step in for that but same difference I guess.

Lol what's this from

I'll concur with others that your impression of the platform isn't very accurate, but also you have nothing to worry about cause it jumped the shark last year.

The ALG just pushes ads, paid partnerships, and e-commerce at you. Almost all the content remaining is from big established creators 9common to many platforms). The same 5 songs are on every video and new ones stopped showing up.

The few people making good content are great, but I wish they would find a better place to put it (cause it's good stuff and I want people to find it in a more accessible place)

Since this implies you live in the US, what region are you in and what is your class standing?

Answers are useless without this context.

Hint hint, the answer does not lie anywhere near the US federal government. That's where socialism goes to die.

Anyone watch last night?

If you want to have dreams and fantasies about a better world, I'm not sure why you would expect to find it on Reddit.

Start looking for W's at the local and state levels. Easier to win, and peppering lower level seats with committed socialists could do a lot to undermine the federal government and actually get some shit done.

From what I heard they're aggressively stamping out corruption and most of the high level leadership keep getting caught in it.

Stamping out corruption good, but repeatedly prosecuting or purging high level leadership could lead to stability issues. Is the cost worth it? Idk I don't know enough.

It's sort of the crux of the issue, dollar stores have been expanding to fill that gap in these remote and small communities, and those communities don't want that for themselves.

I thought not. It’s not a story the soviet politburo would tell you. It’s a Menshevik legend. Darth Trotsky was a Dark Lord of the revolution, so powerful and so wise he could use the proletariat to influence the politburo to split the party… He had such a knowledge of class dynamics that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of Marxism is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his blanquist cell, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his Western followers everything he knew, then the soviets killed him with an icepick. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.

  • Cars bad
  • I try and avoid playing in to the "china-boo" tendency that immerses hexbear, but they kinda keep winning.
  • follow up with more features (yeah the first video wasn't done, it has a drone hangar lol): https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLq6fXt7/

In American Samoa

Inb4 whining about TikTok in general, nobody cares

  • @cloudcloutclaud - thorough content about the current LGBT scene in the PRC, culturally and legally. People often ask questions and struggle sesh about this, this is the person you want to be hearing from instead of the Anglos digging up secondhand info here (not that it's all that bad).

  • @circusfaery33 - a true poster who would fit right in here. Shreds the libs about how voting for Biden doesn't matter. Consistent, high effort, thorough responses to even troll comments. We love to see it.

On brand, but I guess SpaceX has no path to profitability (go figure), so Starlink has to launch thousands of microsatellites every year cause their orbit is so low that they burn up like right away

I didn't really have high expectations for them of course but they are way below the bar of what even Tesla brings to the table.

If you support Palestinian liberation, I think it would be wise to replicate Mr. Zomlot's representation of his people's issues. It's worth a watch.

CDMXicans, please chime in

But yeah it's wild the way the city is on a whole lakebed that was drained cause the flooding was too inconvenient to the Spanish colonials, and the last bit of it that was still remaining was about to become a whole ass airport. I guess AMLO won just in time to cancel it (partially complete) and turn it into an Ecological Park. A huge W for a place that needs a sustainable source of water. It's pretty damn convenient that they already are in a lakebed if they can manage it correctly.

Anyway wealthy business interests apparently were big mad about it.

This is what Mexico City looked like in about the 1520s, before Spanish colonialism.

The past/present overlays are incredible, especially if you've been to the city before.
