On brand, but I guess SpaceX has no path to profitability (go figure), so Starlink has to launch thousands of microsatellites every year cause their orbit is so low that they burn up like right away

I didn't really have high expectations for them of course but they are way below the bar of what even Tesla brings to the table.

SpaceX works because the US is happy to privatize and sell NASA off piecemeal. Its been propped up by federal money since its inception.

Wasting Earth's finite supply of rocket fuel on mindless consumption rather than solving the mysteries of the universe is a special kind of failure on capitalism's part.

It’s plausible as the economics of Starlink seem to be very shaky.
