You're not familiar with prison abolition? I have some links if you'd like to educate yourself. :)

Don't get angry. Abolition is a good thing. It helps you. Instead, try to envision what the goal is. What do you think I'd like to achieve?

the people gathered around me are asking what I'm going to make, it's an important decision and they need to know if this will work. I told them, "whatever it takes" (it's a low-quality orange squid lol)

the reason for my latter sentence is that any impediment stops this goal from materializing. the right will always have a worry, or question, or addition, or delay, and each of these impediments prevents achieving the end goal. that latter sentence is strictly necessary to achieve the result.

If I do a google search for "pictures of hiroshima" and get a bunch of pictures of a famous drag queen named Hiroshima, is google hallucinating, or do I need to refine my query?

ChatGPT and other LLMs used to perform tasks like data gathering and code generation are tools exactly like google search. If you're not getting accurate results, it's not because the technology is bad, it's because you are.

Again, the attitude comes down from the top. Volunteers whose ethics (contempt and superiority) align with the executive staff are rewarded, and those that don't are let go. I don't know if you're ignorant or being deliberately obtuse? Please think about what I wrote.

I want the police abolished and the prisons emptied today. I don't care what happens next.

the culture of contempt comes down from the top. it's owned by Prosus, acquired for $1.8 billion in 2021.

Yes. Stack overflow was a cruel, selfish, horrible emperor and now the dynasty of technical knowledge is crumbling.

If everyone moves to LLMs then there will not be a central repository of knowledge. That is the fault of stack overflow. Their self-centered behavior directly caused this fracturing of knowledge.

If they had been decent human beings we would have had a library of information kept current with today's trends and technologies. Instead we're going to have to rely on paid AI models or fucking grok.

This is their fault. I blame them for it. And I celebrate their downfall because they were shitty humans.

This is the wrong time to do that.

Do you want help finding an oil pipeline near you?

The map shows we're on Earth, but the seasons are wrong. Same planet, but in the future? I'm with Andrew, a friend

In a dark place, there's someone here. I'm uncomfortable but not threatened.

He lives here. He's sick. Dirty bandages. I can't tell if it's disease or drug addiction. He's beautiful, it's heartbreaking

I can't fly exactly. It's like a jet pack and I don't know how much fuel it has. I'm happy, swirling above the crowd on my way to my next task.

Yesterday my boss Anica was discussing everyone's progress in a planning meeting. When she got to me she pointed out publicly, "you have uncompleted tasks from the last session," and "there was a bug in your code here," and "the client said something about another bug with your code?"

I know she wasn't doing it intentionally. There was no cruelty in her method.

She absorbed this "highlight their failures and minimize their successes" from her own boss, who is a toxic piece of garbage. He might be a sociopath. I don't think she realizes that he's infected her with this behavior.

But even knowing this, I got mad. I focused on the last item, the one she was unsure about, and dragged it out in front of everyone. Made her admit she didn't know about it. Made her admit she didn't document anything. Made her look incompetent the way she did to me.

Later she was upset, and couldn't believe I focused on her failures in front of the whole group. Angry tears. She honestly didn't understand that she had been doing the same thing to me. She still doesn't see it. I apologized and she forgave me, but she never figured out what happened.

I'm still angry at her. I want to not be angry at her. She's innocent, but has picked up waspy behavior from her own boss. She can't help it. I think maybe she's naive and slow, like a child. She honestly doesn't know that her behavior is hurtful.

My part of this story is having work unfinished at the meeting. And yes, there were bugs with my code. I cannot blame all of this on her.

I'm hoping that in her mind, she was doing her job, making sure everyone knows the status of all our tasks, making sure everyone has a plan to move forward. I hope she didn't realize I was hurt by her words. I hope she's unintentionally using methods taught to her by someone else, not using them deliberately. I hope she cares, that she wants us to work well together. I hope she's not doing it on purpose. I hope it's not personal.

It's beautiful and full of fun people. I'm on a boat looking at Something Fun or Dangerous in the water. I have to find a new place to live because I'm going to fail out soon

Looking to pad my resume. I enjoy online learning and am a good test taker. Please recommend any online courses that I could add to my resume? e.g. SAFe 6.0 Agile

I'm in a dark hotel with some friends or teammates. I can fly and use telekinesis; I'm exploring to find an exit or the stairs. There's some danger that I'm scouting to keep my friends safe. Some hallways lead down into a cave with many branching tunnels. I have to fly up onto a ledge to get back into the hotel. Eventually we bed down on mattresses on the floor to sleep.
