1914 looks like Napoleonic wars and 1918 looks like proto ww2, the jump in tactics and uniform is insane

I think in world fast travel points are the best way to do things. You wanna get to that city? Best take the strider. Wanna go to the town out in the middle of nowhere? Theres a bus that goes that direction. Makes it feel much better imo.

Its pretty nuts here in Tennessee. I wouldnt say people here are progressive or pro democrats, but they are very tired of Republicans, at least when I talk to my coworkers, thats what I hear from them.

Except the Boomers who want to live in Techno feudalism.

I think DS2 has been getting more appreciation in recent years, it got slandered hard by a content hate train back in the 2010s with people like Mauler and in the early 2020s by FeebleKing. I think most people now acknowledge that its a good game, just not most people's favorite.

It is my personal favorite tho. Way more chill than 3 or Elden Ring imo.

Dark Souls 3. I have all these huge build plans and want to revisit it, but I always lose interest super quickly after thinking about all the mediocre areas i gotta get through and frustrastion of the enemies that almost encourage you to just run past all of them. Really sucks too, cuz the endgame stuff is great, I just cant be bothered with the tedium of everything between Undead Settlement and Irythil or whats its name.

A Shadow the Hedgehog movie??? That would be dope.

Title says it all, I am using the latest version of Linux Mint, with an Archer T2U Plus usb. I can detect and connect to the 2.4g just fine.

I am using the morrownr 8812au driver from github. What might be the problem? I've heard I might need to add the 5g MAC address to my network manager, but I want to make absolutely sure it isnt like an option or toggle i have on. I had this same issue in MX Linux about six months back but still no dice.

Seriously, they are both former military, my dad was in for like 30 years, how do they like the drunk secretary? I get that he saw combat, but being in combat doesn't automatically make you qualified for... well anything except therapy and medical care.

I'll give my example and I think I'm going to get a lot of hate for it. I DESPISE Dark Souls 3. It is such a mediocre game when it comes to the actual gameplay. There is like zero build diversity, the combat isn't indepth and, while the other souls games have at least decent RPG mechanics and exploration can make things easier, DS3 just demands you rolly polly your way to victory. There is no weight to like anything, you feel so floaty and light, and you fold like a peice of paper when you get hit. And so many attacks don't care about your positioning, and instead only if you mashed the dodge button at the correct time, something Elden Ring kind of does too, but it adds a jump button to retain some offense and I find that I'm able to out position bosses and enemies more often in it without actually dodging.

Dark Souls 3 is such a mindnumbingly boring game for me, I feel zero excitement playing it.

Love DS1, DS2, Bloodborne and Elden Ring though, great games all around.

And the music for DS3 is amazing and I do love the Pontiff Sullivan fight.

This can be anything from Hyperspace in Star Wars, Warp Drive in Star Trek, travel through the Warp in Warhammer 40k or anything else.

I've always liked "slow" FTL travel, where going a few light-years still takes a few days or so. I also really like travel through an alternate dimension like in 40k, Event Horizon, Witchspace in Elite Dangerous.

I wanna know your favorite versions, or do you prefer stories that obey the laws of known physics, like the Expanse or Rimworld?

We all know the good movies, but I wanna hear what are your least favorite Bond movies. Mine are Quantum of Solace and Live and Let Die.

I have been attempting to open a port to host an Arma 3 server but have been unable to. I have a logged into my router, and opened the ports, but they remain closed when I try to test the ports.

I have a rather unusual setup for my connection, I'll admit, where I use Ethernet, but its through a Powerline Ethernet Adapter. Could that be a problem with port forwarding?

I use an older router, a Motorola MT7700, I think, (Im not at home to check atm.) I run Linux Mint, it has no problems afaik.

I assume they just drink whatever slop they are told, but are they any that actually use their brains?

What I mean is like, what do you think is unironically awesome, even if people now think its cringe or stupid?

As the title says, I do not care much for 007 Goldfinger. It's not awful, better than like Thunderball, but it's a very strange film. It's got this weird car crusher scene, James does like nothing in the third act, and he's a freakin creep. I mean, more than usual. He gets so freaking lucky, again, more than usual. I do like Goldfinger as a villian, and Oddjob is pretty cool. But I just think this movie has a very weird tone and at the same time, is kind of bland.

Bonus opinion: I really like On Her Majesty's Secret Service. The tone and atmosphere are top notch, and I really like George Lazenby as James.

I was talking with a coworker about what games my parents allow me to play, and what they let their kids play. My parents were fine with most things bloody things, like Resident Evil 4, Left 4 Dead and Gears of War, mostly because you were fighting like aliens or zombies. They were fine with military shooters too, and got really interested in the Modern Warfare storylines. The game that they really had a problem with was GTA, of course, but later, when my little sister started playing it, they got invested in GTA 5's story, so eventually we could just play whatever we really wanted. How bout you all? Did your parents have any weird or strict rules in games or movies?

Yeah, the stories can be really great, some of the best in gaming, especially GTA4 and the RDR games, and this is more targeted towards GTA5. But oh man, these games feel so fucking sloppy control wise. I push my controller in one direction for a moment and my character takes like 2 steps in that direction. Aiming feels clunky and you basically have to rely on auto aim. GTA5 is also piss easy. Like, the only reason I have ever died in GTA5 is accidently driving into an explosive or off a ledge.

Everything takes fucking foreverrr to do, especially in RDR2. Like, I get that its impressive how the animations interact with each other and how everything in the fame world is affectes by you, but I dont want to manually pick up every item.

I think this is an unpopular opinion, at least among my star wars friends it is, but I genuinly think that The Last Jedi is better than The Force Awakens. I think it's more interesting, I think that the visuals are cool, I like the music more. Now I dont think its great, it has a ton of problems, and it probably has the worst fight choreography, i dont like how they portrayed Luke Skywalker, and I think that it was dumb that Holdo didnt tell Poe what her plan was.

But TLJ feels more unique and I absolutely love Kylo Ren in this movie, and I like Rey, I think she was done best in this movie. TFA was just kind of boring imo.

Edit: Mind you, I still think that all the movies in this trilogy are pretty crap. This one is just the one I dislike the least overall, ALTHOUGH, it probably ruined the trilogy the most, storywise.
