A year ago I was seriously thinking that I might want to buy a laptop or a phone that was completely made in the U.S.

I'm not amazed that people like that -- I also do sometimes -- but I am amazed that people pay for that

Well where do you keep your change

Be sure to check Igorrr's other stuff, it's pretty damned interesting. and in different ways from how this one was.

Yeah, that's just dumb.

Roughly a similar move was made by the far right finance minister in Finland. When she was faced with the challenge of communicating the need for austerity, did she use empathy? No, she went for twitter posts where she laughed aloud with scissors in hand.

He drugged and raped a 13 year old child.

I hope everyone here is sane enough to understand that that is a lot worse than what JK Rowling is doing here.

I'm not saying Reagan wasn't a bad president, just focusing on his effects on the economy. That doesn't excuse his other failures.

Putin is a lot worse than Trump though. I can somehow imagine a future where the right person talks to Trump and convinces him to support Ukraine in a real way.

I don't see any other way out of this mess for Putin except his death. Best option would be some sort of a revolution.

people too young to work

I think it's possible that you might confused how young that meant in 1850.

I think you're missing some essential point of basic economics if you think this problem doesn't affect communist societies. I specifically mean the problem of demographic imbalance, not the problem of "infinite growth" which communism does at least try to solve, and free-market capitalism doesn't actually view as a problem really.
