Damn according to this chart Netanyahu is magnitudes more evil than Hitler. I think instead of using Nazis & Hitler to represent fascist we should start using Israelis & Netanyahu.
There are Israeli infants, there were no nazi infants. It’s been intentionally muddled because of mandatory conscription, but there is a difference between the nationality and supporting Netanyahu. Especially for older Israelis who grew up surrounded by people telling them they’d never be safe anywhere else, or ones young enough to not understand what Israel is doing.
No quibbles about Netanyahu being an evil fascist though.
Hitlers isnt evil because he bombed London, Tonnage dropped on a specific City is a useless metric for measuring evil.
Israeli is not an ideology. It would be more apt to compare Nazis to Zionists. Not all Germans were Nazis, and not all Israelis are Zionists.
Zionism is essentially the same thing. Israelis believe that they should have their own Jewish nation which didn't exist prior to 1948. It takes some serious mind games to believe that you're not a Zionist if you're an Israeli.
Then say with confidence that 100% of Israelis are Zionists and show me how you know that. Otherwise you are basically doing a racism, and just because Zionists are shit heads, doesn't mean all Israelis are.
I didn't say that. Israel is Zionism however. That is why it was created and it's purpose for existence & religious context. You would not want to be called an Israeli if you weren't a Zionist.
You appear to be trying to say it without saying it, in which case you aren't just racist, but a coward too.
If you wake up in the morning and choose intellectual dishonesty, and then keep doing that all day, sure. Israel is Zionism in the same way that the US is British Imperialism. The modern state of Israel may have been midwived by Zionists, and it may have been largely run by Zionists since then but it continues to exist separately from the ideology that helped create it. It is a state, with borders, and bureaucracies, and citizens who are not imbued in the womb with the concept of Zionism, or how the borders got to where they are.
Indeed, if anything the modern state of Israel represents the unfinished work of Zionism, which is why criminally insane and thoroughly evil Zionists currently in control of Israel are genociding Palestinians.
So no, Israel is NOT Zionism. And you are almost certainly well aware of that, but it makes a fine rhetorical point as long as you don't mind showing your racism.
Zionism is and was a movement to create a state for the Jewish people. The name Israel was specifically chosen because its religious context & meaning is what Zionism advocates for.
Does saying the US is British Imperialism also make someone racist, and if so against what race in particular? Was it not inhabited by by Native Americans, and did the Spanish, Portuguese, French, Dutch, and British, etc. also not participate in bringing to & owning slaves in America? The US is imperialism. We are still an imperialist nation. I'm not offended by it. Am I hating my own race because I said it? Fuck, I'd love it if they renamed the US to the Nation of Imperialism. At least it would be honest.
The only way you can even try conclude that saying Israel is Zionism is a racist statement, is if fact you think Israel is a Jewish state, which is what Zionism is. It doesn't just represent the unfinished work of Zionism, the name itself portrays Zionism. So yes, Israel is Zionism and you are almost certainly well aware & too coward to admit it or incredibly dense.
Zionism is an ideology, Israeli is a nationality. One you get from birth, the other you don't.
The idea that all Israeli's must be zionist is ridiculous and demonstrably false.
An Israeli could settle for a two-state solution, or anything granting equal rights to both Palestinians and Israelis. A zionist could not, their movement is about creating an ethnocultural nationalist jewish state with as few Palestinian Arabs as possible. These aren't the same thing.
