Since I didn’t enjoy the handsome collection I wouldn’t buy it at any price, but even for games I do enjoy I wait until they are on sale preferably with the DLCs included

Is it dosage related or is any amount of red meat bad? And by red meat is it beef in particular or does it also include lambs and camels?

What if international law is doing exactly what it was built to do? What if its double standards are not bugs in the system, but deeply rooted features designed to support geopolitical, economic and racial power structures that benefit Israel and its Western allies?

Israel doesn’t operate outside the law; it moves within a legal framework that quietly permits its actions. The ongoing violence is not happening in defiance of international law, but thanks to it. The impunity Israel enjoys, the unwavering backing of the United States and European Union, and the language of diplomacy that avoids calling genocide by its name – these aren’t signs of the law being ignored. They’re signs it’s working as intended.

Taking cues from the philosopher Giorgio Agamben, we might say what looks like an exception is actually the rule. For colonized and marginalized people, what we see in Palestine is not a legal anomaly. It’s where the Western colonial legal machine shows its true face.

Despite her efforts to please both sides, Harris, 60, won just 20.3% of Muslim voters, down from the 69% Biden garnered in 2020, shocking exit poll data from the Council on American-Islamic Relations found.

I'm not surprised; we already knew that Harris supported Israel's genocide; and ethnically cleansing Gaza was already suggested by Blinken to Arab leaders in October 2023. It was also the past administration that set into motion sanctions against the ICC and vetoed ceasefire multiple times and also vetoed Palestinian right to self-determination at the UN.

When asked to identify their political party, 34% of Muslim respondents said Democrat, 34% said independent and 33% said Republican, according to a survey conducted by J.L. Partners last month in partnership with the Muslim American Leadership Alliance.

I don't understand why a third still identify as either. While Muslim Americans are a diverse group, with diverse priorities, it is still ignorant to trust either party at this point, and the Republicans are worse. The majority of Arabs in the US aren't Muslim, and are culturally conservative and Christian from the Levant, but they weren't included in this poll.

Meanwhile, a plurality (49%) opposed President Trump’s plan to transform the Gaza Strip into the “Riviera of the Middle East,” with 26% saying they supported the idea and 16% not giving an opinion one way or another.

Did those 26% misunderstand the question or are they clinging to false hope? What about the other 9%?

Yes, poll after poll has shown that.

Polls Show Broad Support in Israel for Gaza’s Destruction and Starvation

8 in 10 Israelis support Trump's Gaza 'ethnic cleansing' plan

Most Israelis rate military’s campaign in Gaza ‘about right’ or not enough

And here is Gideon Levy, an Israeli journalist, talking in 2015 explaining how Israelis view Palestinians and international law: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EtNFXL_ykg

In Israeli politics, Netanyahu is a moderate.

How do you roll something that has a very low center of gravity and is very heavy?

If connections with Iran makes a country an adversary what does that say about the EU? Qatar has relations with Iran because of geographical necessity and due to the Saudi-led Arab embargo which cut off food exports to Qatar forcing them to trade more with Iran.

Kill your own citizens?

It is illegally occupied since 1967 and the Palestinians are stateless living under military rule. They are not Israeli citizens.

Imagine reading in the future that WWII happened but then for WWIII the USA and Israel were the genocidal baddies who like eugenics.

The US did commit genocides, and until the 1960s it was policy to eradicate indigenous languages and religions.

Time for Aime Ceseare quote:

Yes, it would be worthwhile to study clinically, in detail, the steps taken by Hitler and Hitlerism and to reveal to the very distinguished, very humanistic, very Christian bourgeois of the twentieth century that without his being aware of it, he has a Hitler inside him, that Hitler inhabits him, that Hitler is his demon, that if he rails against him, he is being inconsistent and that, at bottom, what he cannot forgive Hitler for is not crime in itself, the crime against man, it is not the humiliation of man as such, it is the crime against the white man, the humiliation of the white man, and the fact that he applied to Europe colonialist procedures which until then had been reserved exclusively for the Arabs of Algeria, the coolies of India, and the blacks of Africa.

Jobs for Boeing and a new presidential plane not paid for with your tax dollars?

[–] PanArab@lemm.ee -4 points 1 day ago

Reading the comments, I'm reminded that whether an Arab country is allied to the US or not, whether it is even subservient to the US or not, matters not. Arab countries will always be seen as adversaries and nefarious.

[–] PanArab@lemm.ee -2 points 1 day ago

Qatar isn't known for espionage, and the plane is made by Boeing anyways.

[–] PanArab@lemm.ee -3 points 1 day ago (2 children)

It is made by Boeing, anyone can verify whether it is bugged or not, and Qatar isn't an adversary. It has a population of 3.6 million, only 19% are citizens, and one of the US's largest military bases in the region.
