And that’s basically it!
Then you should visit Colstrip, Montana or similar coal towns. The propaganda works very well when it's taught from before birth and everyone goes along even if they don't agree!
See, I understand that. What I dont understand is why every other non-coal town trump supporter didn’t immediately understand that this was a stupid as fuck grift immediately after hearing it.
You simply can't criticize your own team.
And that attitude has metastacized into something even worse in the last decade or so.
Cognitive dissonance and cultism.
Its just really frustrating at how easy it is. Like really fucking disheartening.
3-4 decades of crippling public education can do that
Yeah but I live in Alberta, and I don’t feel like a lot of the things I see have much to do with what I learned in public education. Maybe I’m wrong.
Danielle Smith already sorted this for you though, Albertans don't need public education anymore. All she had to do was label CO2 a "foundational nutrient for all life on Earth” and bam! No longer a pollutant. Easy-peasy.
She also told us that smoking actually makes you less likely to have cancer.
Ironically, it pissed me off so much that I’ve started smoking more to alleviate the stress.
The propaganda works well when it the smog goes into the air and comes down as a natural occurrence beyond our control, especially when it disproportionately affects those eastward in the Jetstream. You know, the north/mid Atlantic coastal elites (just don't mention Appalachian Pennsylvania)
Can you explain for everybody who doesn't want to fly into the USA to visit a coal town in Montana what one will see there?
No, I think you should visit.
You're fooling no one, American coal board tourism tsar, or whatever the crazy fuck.
Sure. Give me till after work and I'll write up my memory and some experiences.
