Abortion is done (at least around here) before week 12. At that point it's barely visible over clothing, specially if the mother isn't the smallest to begin with. So a bit too big hoodie is well enough, no need for fake belly.

But but but herr trump said they were happening up until the point of birth!

Walking in with a whole ass baby and threatening to abort it unless two men swap spit.

A person can't just walk in and get an abortion because they don't want the kid right up until the birth. Even in Virginia which has no hard deadline for banning abortion, the bar to clear for an abortion is raised for each trimester.

Third trimester abortions require three physicians to agree that not doing so would either likely be deadly to the mother or "substantially and irremediably impair the mental or physical health of the woman."

A single physician can approve an emergency abortion regardless of trimester to save the life of the mother: https://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/title18.2/chapter4/section18.2-74.1/

Yeah, that's a good point. Less cinematic, though.

True. I wonder if their stance would be any different if there was someone at week 35 on the line, but I highly doubt that.

If you could use that to make them feel like they were able to look down on someone, maybe. Smugness feeds their worldview.
