You could really feel when the players/party were just fucking around, annoying the DM.

I love that the Speak with Dead NPCs voices gradually get less gravelly and intense as the DM gets more and more tired of doing the voice. By the last guy his voice is just talking normally.

The complex riddle of a bridge they need to pass lest their quest be doomed and one person steps on it.

DM panics Uh... roll for perception? Nat 20? Oh! Um this random staff you've been carrying the whole time is actually this magical item that will help you in this one specific spot!

The look the paladin gave the one who stepped on the bridge was absolutely the DM looking at the player who messed up what he had spent hours putting together. Let's give him credit for not just saying rocks fall, everyone dies.
