We'd be so much better off if we worked with the bugs. They can psychically communicate with each other across the galaxy. Brain bugs are psychic biocomputers that can absorb the full memories/skills of any brain they eat. They would enable so much culturally and intellectually, probably more so than the invention of general computers.
Exactlty, brain bugs are great. Embeded in human societies they can also directly raise productivity. Ardashir was an asshole for killing it.
