I really don’t understand the drag queen story hour thing.
What's been really bizarre is seeing the paranoia about drag spark up in the UK.
Like, drag has been an essential part of pantomime theatre since forever, but the Americans started pissing themselves over it and suddenly every gammon in the country is shitting themselves over stuff that until this year was considered essential British culture. And now pantomime performances are getting protested by people who likely watched one every year at Christmas when they grew up.
Some innocuous thing that would have continued to fly under the radar had chud media not latched onto it for whatever bullshit culture war reasons.
