Actually it is Germany who is in desperate need of the dollar, not Russia.
The euro is fast becoming irrelevant in global economy, and after losing Nord Stream, they now need to spend dollars (not euros) to import energy from America:
The EU, especially Germany, has lost its energy and monetary sovereignty since Ukraine and they now have to earn US dollars to survive.
All of this is just projection. Keep the dollar banknote to yourself in case you need it one day.

As I understand it, it comes from a Russian author who wrote a semi-satirical version of Lord of the Rings as a commentary on how America perpetually sees itself as leading the “fellowship” and all others outside its sphere of sycophants are “orcs.” Libs being libs, they did not pick up on the subtext and just ran with “the Russians consider themselves the orcs!”
I actually watched Zelenskyy’s show “Servant of the People” and at the end of that he makes a reference to Ukraine “being always stuck between the orcs and the elves”. So I guess it was in common usage at least in Ukraine prior to the war

Honestly I know this is going to sound schizo af, but I think I invented the orc thing. I was raging about the Ukraine war early on when it started especially about all the stupid fucking Harry Potter shit that was going around, and I said to a friend yeah the Ukrainians are just innocent little hobbits compared to the Russian orcs. I suddenly started seeing the phrase everywhere after that.
The Last Ringbearer came out in 1999. It was a Russian LOTR fanfiction from the perspective of Mordor. In it the "orcs" are just normal humans who are dehumanized by the men of the west. It was a pretty big deal in the former USSR. So it probably wasn't you.
In this war the term Orc was popularized by an english tweet from Azov about greasing up their bullets to deal with Chechen orcs. So originally the term orc only applied to Chechens (and probably other Muslims in the Russian Federation).
