Account verification is ass, i have the fucking password let me in you fucker, fuck yourself

"Oh but security" fuck you, just have a password nobody will ever guess, stupid! "oh but what if it gets leaked" fuck you i don't care

Don't even get me started on 2 factor identification. All the security crypto nerds oblivious to all the tracking it facilitates

If a website doesn't let me use an authenticator OTP or yubikey for 2FA i just dont use the website

[–] CyberSyndicalist@hexbear.net 5 points 11 months ago (1 children)

They don't want those details for authentication they want it for surveillance capitalism. This should be obvious since most of the major sites were already demanding that shit years before they even had 2FA. Email and sms based 2FA is considered bad security practice and is being phased out by any serious organization in favor of OTP. No website gives a shit if you don't' care about being hacked, that is individualist thinking, your account being hacked causes problems for others not just the website operaters but other users of the website.

Oh also I was supposed to get some cash from a lawsuit leveled against meta for exposing user data some years ago and my account was in question but I haven't seen a dime so this all tracks for Cuckerberg.

I'm sure some lawyers were able to improve their earnings considerably on your behalf

Yeah I refuse to ever make a twitter, even more so today for obvious reasons about who uses that site.

Both Facebook and Instagram are rife with tons of technical (and community) issues. It's absolutely absurd.

I deleted facebook and twitter in like 2020. I never used either very much. Used facebook when I was younger maybe. I still keep an Instagram account around albeit not frequently using it.

Facebook sent a letter to my house after I did stuff they didn't like

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

What? Like what, what did you do what did it say?

[–] alexandra_kollontai@hexbear.net 3 points 11 months ago

This probably deserves its own post, I'll think about writing one. I won't be able to say exactly what I did because it would personally identify me.
