i want to sleep when i'm at work. i don't want to sleep when i'm at home during my free time

[–] dharmacurious@slrpnk.net 19 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Night shift security was great for that conundrum

[–] Ponchy@lemm.ee 14 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Just swapped to that. Very odd to suddenly feel sleepy at 10 pm like a child again but feeling fine at 4 am

[–] dharmacurious@slrpnk.net 2 points 1 year ago

I haven't worked night shift in 8 years, and I'm still tired all day and wake right the fuck at 11. Be careful, the allure of the night is a lasting one.

Someone modify the "8h work / 8h free time / 8h sleep" poster please

[–] empireOfLove2@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

instruxtions unclear: 1hr getting ready /8hr work /1hr unpaid lunch/2hr total commute/1hr shower and nap/3hr cleaning house and dishes and cooking dinner/barely 2 hour free time /8 hour sleep

[–] lugal@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 year ago

No, merge the 8h work with the 8h sleep. Gives you: 8h sleep at work/8h participate in democratic structures and 8h free time, to modify SRSLY WRONG's 4/4/4 proposal

that's just a "I don't want to" 24/7 regardless where I am

My ADHD brain has conditioned me to be very optimistic about what I’ll do tomorrow, or what I’ll do once I get home, lol.

Haha me too

Then the second I see bed it's like "Oh that's nice flops and passes out for 3 hours"

[–] tacosanonymous@lemm.ee 25 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I wish it said, "go to bed" in the lower panel. If I thought I could fall asleep right away, I’d go without hesitation.

The worst is when you're dead tired all day and struggling to stay up after work till it's late enough to sleep, then when the time comes to go to bed....

Wide awake

I hate my body.
