Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

"Your body, my choice," isn't an anti-abortion catchphrase. It's a pro-rape catchphrase.

[–] LaunchesKayaks@lemmy.world 129 points 6 months ago (1 children)

It's not even a catchphrase. It's a threat

[–] NatakuNox@lemmy.world 22 points 6 months ago (1 children)

It's a promise.

Just look at pregnant women death rates in red states. Combined with the fact that red states per capita have higher rates of sexual violence towards women.

In red states, rapists get to pick the mother of their child.

Whatever it's intended to be, it's fucking evil. It doesn't matter if they think it's a joke. This is like Nazis basing a joke on the premise "yeah, like I would be awful to Jews!"

[–] aesthelete@lemmy.world 19 points 6 months ago

"I don't care if you're joking, you're still an asshole."

[–] JackbyDev@programming.dev 15 points 6 months ago

I'd have to double check, but I'm pretty sure part of what he said that night was something about not needing consent, so yes you're right.

[–] Kalysta@lemm.ee 12 points 6 months ago

This. And the amount of stories i have heard of middle schoolers using it is disgusting.

I hate this country. And I hope Fuentes gets all the hate he put out right back at him

"Harassment."

Oh, sure, wannabe Nazi, and you'd never do that, right? Harass anyone else?

He can dish it but can't take it. Coward.

[–] watson387@sopuli.xyz 80 points 6 months ago

He's just like Trump. Talks all kinds of shit then complete bitch when it comes back to him.

[–] Seasm0ke@lemmy.world 40 points 6 months ago (5 children)

"I can excuse rape but I draw the line at harrassment" -Nick Fuentes

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 12 points 6 months ago

I can excuse any amount of harm done to you, but I draw the line at anything that affects me

How does the fact that he accidentally streamed himself watching gay porn —and then tried to blame, I believe, Hezbollah, if I’m remembering correctly—not come up every single time someone mentions his name? It should be the second half of his introduction, like accolades or a PhD

Another person called on X owner Elon Musk to intervene, who appears to have begun removing posts showing Fuentes’ address.

The “champion against censorship” is performing censorship. How curious.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 16 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I totally did not see that coming

[–] samus12345@lemmy.world 9 points 6 months ago

I think after this election we'll have to retire that phrase, as we all see the Nazis coming.

I'm a British activist. We have been fighting a populous movement called Stop The Boats, which has switched names to Enough is Enough.

Its come out that I and many comrades have had our photos taken at counter demos and have been added to a list that includes names, location and pictures.

Fuck these guys. Fuck anyone thinking doxxing fascists is wrong. They are doing it to us. And 15 years ago with the rise of the EDL my party comrades where victim to attacks on the street seemingly random. Letters saying "we know your address and the next one will explode" sent directly to homes of socialist party members.

FUCK FASCIST.

Now this is the kind of activism I can get behind.

[–] huginn@feddit.it 16 points 6 months ago (2 children)

I heard rumors someone burned his house down. No idea if they're true or not.

[–] Sciaphobia@lemm.ee 66 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (1 children)

In my 30 seconds of research I didn't find any verification of that, but I did see a woman is pressing charges for assault on him. According to her she went to his door, rang the doorbell, and he opened the door, pepper sprayed her, then pushed/kicked her down the stairs. Added bonus story portion of the police not wanting to do their jobs.

No, I would have heard about it. I’m not super far from Berwyn.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 97 points 6 months ago (2 children)

I don't know if it still is, but his house was relabeled as "public restroom" on Google Maps for a while after that.

[–] JovialMicrobial@lemm.ee 27 points 6 months ago (1 children)

That makes me unreasonably happy. Thanks for sharing!

[–] Gargantuanthud@lemmy.ca 8 points 6 months ago

I think your level of happiness is completely reasonable in this case.

Glad to see that the left is finally ready to start rolling up their sleeves and fighting the right on equal terms, using the same weapons they've used on us from the start.

If you make life difficult for these people, they will be less likely to cling to their harmful political viewpoints.

[–] finderscult@lemmy.myserv.one 16 points 6 months ago

The lefts been doing it, I'm happy to see liberals aren't going to the FBI and police at least in this instance to stop the left like they did from 2016 to current year.

[–] spicylemon@lemmy.world 51 points 6 months ago

Nothing he can do if it’s posted here🤡

[–] francoperdu@sh.itjust.works 36 points 6 months ago (1 children)

He's always been a joke. But this takes the cake. He's afraid of a 57 year old woman. Sad.

[–] HK65@sopuli.xyz 21 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Your house, our choice

I thought this will be another housing crisis article.
