Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

That could get interesting.

[–] SinningStromgald@lemmy.world 33 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It certainly could. Not gonna change the election on its own but may start a string of recounts/audits.

[–] Captainvaqina@sh.itjust.works 17 points 3 months ago

I understand the optics of forcing recounts just plays into the traitor's bullshit fraud narrative that the enemies of the United States are using to dismantle our elections.

Still. Why the FUCK didn't we just loudly and immediately investigate the absolute piss out of this past election regardless?

It's not like we need to pretend like we could ever co-inhabit our country with the filthy fucking fascist trash anymore. Justice™ absolutely 100% failed. They needed to be imprisoned, immediately.

Yeah, I’m low key expecting at some point that the books were cooked in 2024. The early vote data in there frankly appears pretty damning. If that pattern of data repeats in more than a tiny handful of other jurisdictions, that’s a pretty clear smoking gun.

I hope this will blow up even though they try to mute any unwanted news with their continuously ongoing creation of brown noise.

This is like the 8th "odd remark" about vote manipulation by either trump, elon, and even elons fucking toddler. At what point do they become confessions?

[–] adarza@lemmy.ca 47 points 3 months ago

In July 2024, former U.S. President Donald Trump told a crowd, "Get out and vote! Just this time. You won't have to do it anymore! Four more years, you know what? It'll be fixed, it'll be fine, you won't have to vote anymore."

It's an article from Jan 20th. I don't think this is a new remark. I don't think anyone read the article because everyone's treating it like it's new.

One of the DOGE clowns made election hacking software. I'm sure it's a coincidence

[–] aceshigh@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

They did it and they’re all giddy about it. They just can’t help but talk about it…. Which reminds me. Has trump said anything about Epstein?

[–] deadbeef79000@lemmy.nz 75 points 3 months ago

"Odd" remark? Like an "awkward" gesture?

[–] eagleeyedtiger@lemmy.nz 47 points 3 months ago

I'm not smart enough to truly understand some of the data coming out, but some other information to consider:

TRUMP LOST. Vote Suppression Won.

Some more speculation: https://bsky.app/profile/denisedwheeler.bsky.social/post/3lhowh3ijgs2f

I think we might know where all the missing Dem ballots went

This is Ethan Shaotran. He's one of Musk's DOGE takeover hackers

2 yrs ago he won the Berkeley AI Hackathon

But in 2000 won the HackGT7 with a ballot altering program called BallotProof

Here's the deep dive that he couldn't scrub....

She corrects herself later on and it should say he won in 2020

[–] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 46 points 3 months ago

It's vague enough that he could wiggle out of any accusations. Let's hope the crowd really cheered so that he'll start going into more detail and might slip up less ambiguously.

[–] gnomesaiyan@lemmy.world 43 points 3 months ago

This is the boy who cried voting fraud. Then when it actually happened, no one believed it. Trump stole the election with Elon's help. As far as I'm concerned, this is treason, especially considering the coup in progress. We need to stop this motherfucker before it's too late!

[–] TachyonTele@lemm.ee 37 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Wheres elons birth certificate?

[–] Carvex@lemmy.world 14 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Where's his Earth certificate?

[–] casmael@lemm.ee 3 points 3 months ago

Bold of you to assume it was ‘born’ - I’d be looking for a QC certificate to be honest

[–] BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.world 26 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Given the contest only happens every 4 years, post-election audits should be automatic.

[–] jonne 4 points 3 months ago

By the OECD.

[–] shittydwarf@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 3 months ago

But but buttery males!

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 14 points 3 months ago

It's always been rigged.

If there were actual fair elections where every vote xiutrd, Republicans neould NEVER AGAIN ein any election ever.

Relatively small Christian groups rule the us because the voting system is rigged for that, it has been like that for decades yet nobody bats an eye because it's the American normal

Are we still riding on this 3-weeks old news? A whole year had elapsed since.

[–] HK65@sopuli.xyz 7 points 3 months ago (1 children)

All the rest of the bullshit happened so people start thinking like this.

You have to stick to issues and hammer them, not go around trying to follow the Gish gallop.

[–] notsoshaihulud@lemmy.world -2 points 3 months ago

it's one thing when there are updates on the same new, another is the same news getting reposted 3 weeks later without an update.
