Hey it says we're the best! Wooo!

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 50 points 3 months ago

Decentralized boredom at its finest

I feel seen.

[–] DmMacniel@feddit.org 44 points 3 months ago

I prefer boredom to assholes that exploit emotions.

[–] DocMcStuffin@lemmy.world 30 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I give it a 5/10. No mention of beans, unix socks, or tankies.

The Chris Kattan of AI. In that it isn't funny, it is subservient to fascists, and is likely a repeat sex offender.

[–] Quill7513@slrpnk.net 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

wait what's this now about chris kattan being subservient to fascists?

[–] apfelwoiSchoppen@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago (2 children)

His politically on the right.

[–] Quill7513@slrpnk.net 3 points 3 months ago

i did not know that

[–] OldManBOMBIN@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

I hadn't heard about the sexual allegations, I don't think. When?

There's no emphasis on upvoting though, ha! get owned ai

[–] Zoomboingding@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

Speak for yourself. It's my sacred oath to upvote only the choicest of memes.

[–] maplebar@lemmy.world 21 points 3 months ago

Imagine being the type of person who has conversations with Elon Musk's computer and trying to roast anybody. Wild.

[–] solidgrue@lemmy.world 16 points 3 months ago

Grok's got some jokes.

[–] hansolo@lemm.ee 16 points 3 months ago

...I should get some Linux t-shirts...

[–] arotrios@lemmy.world 16 points 3 months ago

All true, and it's still vastly more interesting than Xitter...

[–] grue@lemmy.world 13 points 3 months ago

Ha! Wrong! I have a GNU T-shirt, not a Linux one!

...that's not any better though, is it? Hmm.

[–] cm0002@lemmy.world 11 points 3 months ago

And they said GenAI couldn't be creative lmao

[–] mp3@lemmy.ca 11 points 3 months ago

And I enjoy being a Linux nerd, so suck it Grok.

[–] sp3tr4l@lemmy.zip 10 points 3 months ago

I don't own any Linux Tshirts and I barely upvote anything at all.

Not having global karma counts, and keeping it constrained to just a given post or comment is a feature, not a bug... we should hopefully know by now that karmawhoring reinforces and lobotomizes the hivemind.

[–] mortalic@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago

I mean yeah, but also, come at me... Oh right you can't figure out which instance to join.... Mmmmkay

[–] PunnyName@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Wonder if Grok understands its own words.

[–] blaue_Fledermaus@mstdn.io 17 points 3 months ago

LLMs are just statistical models, all they know is how likely a text fragment is to appear near another text fragment.

[–] sp3tr4l@lemmy.zip 8 points 3 months ago

Grok does not grok Grok.

[–] Demigodrick@lemmy.zip 9 points 3 months ago

How does it know about all of my tshirts?!

[–] Iheartcheese@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago (1 children)

He's right about you nerds and your Linux shirts

[–] I_Miss_Daniel@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

I've only got a Compaq one.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago

I don't own a single Linux t-shirt

...anymore

[–] Tartas1995@discuss.tchncs.de 6 points 3 months ago

The only "insults" in there is "too many" and "boredom". That is a weak first round.

Speaking the truth can be boring, not that LLMs could relate and the only "too many", that grok should be concerned about, is the "too many" liters of water that it is wasting to produce such a weak and boring roast. If you kill the planet at least make it fun.

Damn, that thing is running on a 5090, it's on fire!

[–] cheezoid2@sh.itjust.works 5 points 3 months ago

I dunno, it sounds kinda great to me. I’m sold!

[–] random_character_a@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

How did it know I have too many linux T-shirts.

[–] DeathbringerThoctar@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago
[–] ryedaft@sh.itjust.works 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Pretty illegible on a phone

[–] hand@lemmy.studio 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It says;

Lemmy: Mastodon's even nerdier sibling that's all about "federation" and "open-source." It's like Reddit for people who own too many Linux T-shirts and think upvoting is a sacred duty. Decentralized boredom at its finest.

[–] ryedaft@sh.itjust.works 3 points 3 months ago

Thank you!

And that's a pretty funny roast 😁

[–] andros_rex@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

I only have one Linux shirt - the awesome upside down command line guide XKCD one. My beard has grown in since, and I have not needed Randall Munroe’s help to navigate my system for many years, but it’s a fun shirt.
