Probably the only actual sovcit. Bigfoot has no need for your driver's license. Bigfoot does not recognize any court. Bigfoot travels.

[–] magnetosphere@fedia.io 7 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

He is the sovcits spirit animal.

[–] ieatpwns@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

This makes more sense than a sovcit

Maybe Bigfoot pays his taxes?

https://www.cfholbert.com/blog/bigfoot-sightings/

Based on this graph of sightings over time, he's spending less time in the Pacific Northwest and increasing time in Florida.

https://www.core-wm.com/2024/07/02/navigating-floridas-unique-tax-environment-for-high-net-worth-individuals/

Florida has long been a magnet for high-net-worth individuals, thanks in large part to its favorable tax climate.

Florida’s most attractive tax feature is the absence of a state income tax. This applies to both earned income and income from investments, making it particularly appealing for high-income earners and retirees alike.

Florida does not impose estate or inheritance taxes, providing a substantial advantage for wealth preservation and transfer.

I figure he's probably using legal methods to shelter assets from taxes, rather than trying to illegally evade 'em.

I would call it a spurious correlation, except it's hard to measure the impact of the enthusiast meet-ups that Bigfoot leads...

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

Well sure, he's got to be retired by now.

[–] Adderbox76@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 weeks ago

Based on the number of sightings on this map, I'm starting to think that maybe most people have just never seen a homeless person before....

[–] Rhynoplaz@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago

I know I'm not going to be the one who tells him he isn't!

[–] marduk@lemmy.sdf.org 7 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Probably depends on if they are homosapiens or not. My guess is if they aren't, they'll be treated like any other animal and put in a cage

[–] Artyom@lemm.ee 2 points 2 weeks ago

He doesn't have to be a homosapien, he could be a corporation instead!

If we assume Bigfoot exists and is intelligent, I would suggest they are more like an indigenous tribe or people like those un-contacted tribes in the Amazon rain forest or the folks on North Sentinel island.

Kind of left alone to manage and govern themselves.

[–] agamemnonymous@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 weeks ago

I've got a theory that Bigfoot sightings are frequently just people who dropped out of society to live a primitive life in the woods. In that case yeah, basically.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Bigfoot, if real, is an animal and thus not a citizen of any kind what-so-ever.

That's just my fursona. I am not really a dog. ;)

[–] kelpie_returns@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Humans are also animals lol

[–] HurlingDurling@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Maybe, but why does he sound Australian?

[–] steeznson@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Nope, no passport. Deported! Maybe Canada can have him as part of an eventual trade deal /s

[–] stinerman@midwest.social 1 points 2 weeks ago

No because Bigfoot doesn't exist. Therefore he fails the "is" part of the assertion.

[–] DreamAccountant@lemmy.world -4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

It's fiction. So, it's whatever you want it to be.

You don't know if he was on a weekend trip from Australia. it's fucking fiction.

They have an underground subway straight from Perth to Montana. It's still just stupid fiction.

[–] roofuskit@lemmy.world 11 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Hey, this person is trying to convince us the subway from Australia to Montana is fake! Then it must be real!

[–] neidu3@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 weeks ago

Yup. They are part of "They", as in the ones who are hiding the truth from us.
