I enjoyed thunderbolts. Sets things up nicely for the future as well. not sure about Iron Heart. Wakanda Forever left a pretty bad taste in my mouth in that respect.

Have you read the Warren Ellis run of Thunderbolts set after Civil War? It's a great, really fun read. Norman Osbourne is their leader and you see how much fighting spider-man has ruined his mind.

No I havnt read many comics at all tbh. Never really figured out how to get into them.

I had a bit of a brainwave. The pet ramps and steps from Kmart arenโ€™t great and the op shop didnโ€™t have much destroyable that suitedโ€ฆ

But Big W has a $180-ish recliner. It will be low quality and small and will get scratched up from brand new, but the leg support part could be walked up like a ramp. Itโ€™s something the old baby could easily get up and down from without jumping and hurting herself. I would pay that much for a cat tree if she could comfortably use it.

Weโ€™ll see. Iโ€™ll decide if thereโ€™s room and maybe sell the unwanted dishwasher and tv. Maybe I could sew some heavy duty fabric reinforcement over the sides to absorb the claws wrath.

How many fish fingers are too many? My personal limit is 8 to 10, but I am open to suggestions from the assembled audience. 8-10 provides plenty to be enjoyed with a variety of sauces, but doesn't weigh heavily on the stomach.

Man I wish I had the energy and space to build stuff suited for Melbcat. Itโ€™s sad that I havenโ€™t been able to catify the crap out of this place for enjoyment in her golden years

I can't help with the energy but if you want to trek out to Springvale sometime I've a heap of tools and scrap wood.

Trying for 11 hours sleep. Will no doubt be back at 2am posting about how much insomnia sucks.

Night all โค๏ธ

Iโ€™ll probably be awake then, too. Sigh. Iโ€™m so over not being able to sleep (well, I can eventually get to sleep but then keep waking up in the early hours, when all the thoughts are bad and everythingโ€™s a catastrophe).

Canโ€™t wait for Friday night when I can take a Restavit

That second coffee is reeeeee-heeeeelly making life difficult for me now... nearly 4 am and I'm still going woohoo....

On the other hand, I've got a VERY fleshed out methods section with five tables and so many sections, and a lot of help from ChatGPT turning dot points into better-structured text.

I really ought to stop now dammit.

Good fucking loooord

TW Diddy trialI've caught up a bit on the Diddy trial.

What the actual fuck. Cassie was a damn sex slave. Her bravery on the stand is awe inspiring.

I think we need to write off Diddy entirely and send the cunt into the sun.

Hectic meeting done... I was told just as the meeting started that it was going to be cut from 2 hours down to 1 because my supervisor needed to meet another student. Given how little of an f I've been giving about this project, I can't be too mad that he's prioritising people with actual research, but it still stings a bit to be reminded how low on the totem pole I am when most of this research experience has been an opportunity for my brain to ramp up the usual "you are not as smart as you thought you were lol" messaging. That's on me though heh.

Anyway, I get a second opportunity to chat to him tomorrow which is probably better given that I wrote all that stuff yesterday but didn't create the main figures that we'd actually need to focus on... (and which I can create today).

After all this is done I'm tempted to go volunteer in a plant nursery and tune out the world for a good month...

e: current distraction is following the votes in Goldstein. Tim Wilson's lead is narrowing! From 500-something down to 300 in a few days. Maybe those postal votes aren't as easy to predict as before. Still don't think Zoe will win but it won't be a decisive victory for Tim either.

Also following that super thin margin in Bradfield (NSW).
