COVID-19 cases are rising again as a new variant begins to circulate in some parts of the world. The World Health Organization said Wednesday the rise in cases is primarily in the eastern Mediterranean, Southeast Asia and western Pacific regions.

Airport screening in the United States has detected the new variant in travelers arriving from those regions to destinations in California, Washington state, Virginia and New York.

The new variant is called NB.1.8.1. It arrives as the United States’ official stance on COVID-19 vaccination is changing. On Tuesday, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced that COVID-19 shots are no longer recommended for healthy children and pregnant women — a move immediately questioned by several public health experts.

Yeah well in Freedomland we operate on vibes over facts now. HHS will say that new covid variants are “fake and gay” and simultaneously created in a lab by the globalist WHO because they hate our gas stoves. Good luck, everybody.

[–] Gregg@lemm.ee 7 points 1 week ago

8chan. 4chan at least purged users who distributed CSAM.

Inject it with bleach! That'll do the trick.

The whole 2020-2022 lockdown period lingers like a surreal fever dream...

I think I'll wait for the 2.0.0 main release to get it

1.8.1 is sufficiently infectious and will attempt to self-install on you, functionality however is the same, it does the same stuff as Omicron did

[–] kami@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You mean it won't have 6G support?

[–] ag10n@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago

Skipping 6 and going right to 9G

Is there an OEM version that I can get more easily?

[–] BlindFrog@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Good question. OEMs do usually last longer than third party strains. The higher cost is usually worth it because it will probably last until you run your vehicle into the ground

Thank God I can go get vaccinated for this.

Oh wait...

I'm sure the head of the HHS in America will prioritize making sure everyone gets a supply of leeches, vitamin A, chicken noodle soup, and scalpels for blood letting. Because science shows those are the real cures not any of that GMO RNA spike protein DNA nonsense those lab wackos come up with.

yay does that mean trump is gonna give us more unemployment money?

[–] blattrules@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago

It’s easier for him to claim it doesn’t exist, then give all that money to 5 really rich people instead.
