An unofficial chapter of the popular Dull Men's Club.

1. Relevant commentary on your own dull life. Posts should be about your own dull, lived experience. This is our most important rule. Direct questions, random thoughts, comment baiting, advice seeking, many uses of "discuss" rarely comply with this rule.

2. Original, Fresh, Meaningful Content.

3. Avoid repetitive topics.

4. This is not a search engine
Use a search engine, a tradesperson, Reddit, friends, a specialist Facebook group, apps, Wikipedia, an AI chat, a reverse image search etc. to answer simple questions or identify objects. Also see rule 1, “comment baiting”.

There are a number of content specific communities with subject matter experts who can help you.

Some other communities to consider before posting:

5. Keep it dull. If it puts us to sleep, it’s on the right track. Examples of likely not dull: jokes, gross stuff (including toes), politics, religion, royalty, illness or injury, killing things for fun, or promotional content. Feel free to post these elsewhere.

6. No hate speech, sexism, or bullying No sexism, hate speech, degrading or excessively foul language, or other harmful language. No othering or dehumanizing of anyone or negativity towards any gender identity.

7. Proofread before posting. Use good grammar and punctuation. Avoid useless phrases. Some examples: - starting a post with "So" - starting a post with pointless phrases, like "I hope this is allowed" or “this is my first post” Only share good quality, cropped images. Do not share screenshots of images; share the original image.

I have Celiac apparently, and reflux, so I used ingredients with minimal impact on those.

Uhoh, olives. Someone’s looking to start a fight…

Whole olives are the controversialist part

[–] PunnyName@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

That's a word I very much like.

What's the furthest south and/or west you've ever been?

[–] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

West: Alaska
South: Belize

I mean, not to me, no, but in certain circles (especially anywhere outside of the midwest US) some people have very strong feelings about whether they should be "allowed". It's another one of those pineapple-on-pizza situations.

It's a big deal here. I didn't care what people like as long as they don't force it on me but I know a bunch of folks who would absolutely shit themselves over this.

If it tastes good, fuck it, add 'em. I like olives on tacos, and pineapple on pizza. No one gonna yuck my yum. Ain't enough time on this planet so deal with that nonsense.

They’re not “on” the tacos. They are a side dish. Argument: defeated.

Seems too interesting for this sub. Please respect the space.

Nice! In 1995 i went to spend a taco Tuesday with a crazy family - crazy like she hit her husband with a baseball bat in his sleep for making out with her sister. That day i learned about home fried taco shells and it changed my life.

Nice! Tacos are always the shit. I've been doing some Navajo tacos lately and they are another level my guy

And it's not even taco Tuesday!

Looks great

What kind of taco shells do you use? Do you use something special because of the celiac?

[–] artifex@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 month ago

Not OP but most corn tortillas are GF.
