If I had to choose between leather belt flavoured licorice and vomit flavoured Hershey's. Licorice wins everytime.

Licorice. Anise flavored candy. It's disgusting.

Chocolate brandy beans.

They always seem to be made with cheapest shittiest chocolate as well but that brandy liqueurs inside is revolting enough on its own thread the chocolate is usually completely forgettable

Probably these little lychee candy things I had years ago. No fruit flavor at all. Tasted as though someone mixed powdered blackboard chalk and sugar.

[–] SolarMonkey@slrpnk.net 1 points 1 week ago

I love those but my partner feels the same way you do, with the added perk that they hate the way the candies smell when I’m having one lol

Peeps. I've never like marshmallow anything, really, and definitely not those abominations. Most cinnamon-flavored things. Edit: forgot one: chocolate-covered cherries. I don't know why. I have a cherry tree and will eat the cherries off it and don't even mind most artificially-cheery-flavored things. I also eat other fruits covered in chocolate (even durian).

The churro peeps were tasty!

(I actually like peeps, marshmallows, and cinnamon though lol)

Okay so during halloween, there are these weird eyeball gummies that are not only unsettling to look at, but they also taste like sugary plastic. It's by far the worst tasting candy I've ever experienced, including low quality black licorice and some weird wood bark candy.

Black Death. Tastes like I’d expect a chemical burn to taste.

There is this brittle thing of foam everyone likes to make into weird shapes like little birds... I don't know what it is called and I don't want too

[–] Ledericas@lemm.ee 2 points 1 week ago

peeps marshmellows?

[–] Bwaz@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Maryjanes? (Very old yucky candy, not cannabis related)

[–] hactar42@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Lucas Limon - I never understood how kids could eat. Even before they found lead in it.

[–] Scheisser@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

Durian candy and sour milk candy share the top spot.

[–] ToastedCoconuts@piefed.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Cella's milk chocolate covered cherries. My grams was addicted to them, so I'd bring a box when I visited. I couldn't even stand the way they smelled though lol

[–] Jarix@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

That reminds me of brandy beans. So gross

[–] thatradomguy@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

The red gum that's just pure cinnamon or something. Plus it's spicy. Ew. Just ew
