I swear to Christ no one is asking for this invasive shit...

If Microsoft could find a way to monetize it they'd make windows 12 literally kick the user in the genitals every time they moved the mouse...

🧑‍🚀🔫👨‍🚀 they already have, it’s (currently) called Microsoft 365

MS Teams: you are out of office

Me: excuse me what? I am right here, with nothing on my calander to put me in the out status.

Teams: nope, not there. Out and offline. Me: I'm right here! changes status twice to prove it

Teams: since you are clearly not present, I'm going to do updates. restarts

Me: 🤬

Teams, already restarting: OH THERE YOU ARE!

I assume anything related to AI data collection is collecting the data anyway and the 'choices' are just whether or not you see and interact with it.

But yes, if you have to click something to see it then it is technically opt in from a user interface standpoint.

Yep. I may have needed to use more words; my interpretation with all things Microsoft is usually "We're letting you opt in to the UI elements that make you feel like you have some semblance of control."

Man, I sure do love how Linux doesn't spy on me. Fuck Microsoft.
