That's not a shitpost, that's wholesome

[–] TheSambassador@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Why can't shitposts also be wholesome?

[–] Grostleton@lemmy.dbzer0.com 17 points 2 days ago

Poor diet, usually.

[–] Swedneck@discuss.tchncs.de 11 points 2 days ago

they can be wholesome, but they also have to be, you know, shitposts

this is only wholesome

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 days ago

shitsome wholeposts

[–] Booboofinget@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

We should implement that here in the US.

[–] sundray@lemmus.org 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

They're working on it, but the US version will just let you buy people.

[–] Booboofinget@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

You are wrong! They are developing a subscription model for it.

[–] sundray@lemmus.org 3 points 2 days ago

Damn, they're always one step ahead!

The only true way to shitpost, become ungovernable

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 0 points 2 days ago

Just look at how much shit its stirred up here.

[–] SomethingBlack@lemmy.world 26 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I love this in theory, but I can absolutely promise you, the people who need to attend won't attend

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago

So it's something fun to do and those shitbirds won't be there? Is there a pamphlet I can give to my librarian?

[–] atek@lemmy.zip 32 points 2 days ago (1 children)

'In Denmark' '85 countries' ???

[–] Johanno@feddit.org 2 points 2 days ago

Shhh we don't talk about colonialism

[–] devilish666@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago

can i borrow Big Tiddy Goth MILF there ?

[–] MuteDog@lemmy.world 23 points 2 days ago

So... these people just hang out at the library all day every day?

[–] ieatpwns@lemmy.world 30 points 2 days ago (1 children)
[–] ComradeMiao@lemmy.world 18 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Because it can also help you build prejudices for free while at the library

[–] ieatpwns@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Idk I feel like the people who are trying to reinforce their prejudices wouldn’t be the type of person looking to hear different povs

[–] MajinBlayze@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago

Or visit a library, for that matter

[–] guy_threepwood@lemmy.world 20 points 2 days ago (1 children)

This isn’t just Denmark. And businesses often host events with them: https://humanlibrary.org/

[–] FLP22012005@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Weirdly it says so in the final sentence of the text. The first sentence isn't wrong, of course.

[–] NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone 2 points 2 days ago

Can I borrow a tax expert?

[–] Kyle_The_G@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I always thought a cool idea for a book or tv series would be deep dives into random people's stories. I love that stuff. interesting work, sports, vacation, cool possessions, life events and achievements...

Watch the show high maintenance

[–] Angelusz@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

You would like the TV show Solos

[–] Dr_Box@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I feel like I would become addicted to a place like this

[–] crank0271@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago
[–] lemming741@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago
[–] halvar@lemy.lol 1 points 2 days ago

[–] Blackmist@feddit.uk 3 points 2 days ago

We mean the other unemployed bipolar refugees.

Those are "one of the good ones".

[–] altkey@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 days ago

You get The List person and never return them.

[–] petersr@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Dane here. I have never heard about this.

[–] Paradachshund@lemmy.today 2 points 2 days ago

To read a very interesting sci-fi take on this concept, check out A Borrowed Man by Gene Wolfe

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Back in my day you just had the trans American explin how circuits work to some Saudi men until they all come away more aware of human experiences and more aware of what happens in an RCL circuit

[–] m3t00@piefed.world 1 points 2 days ago

can get as much from any panhandler and have a laugh when you stiff them on the tip.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago
[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 2 days ago

That's a beautiful concept. It'd never fly here (USA). People would just use it as confirmation bias that they hate others for the right reasons.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world -2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I mean, I hope they're getting paid.

[–] blarghly@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Not everyone has to get paid for everything. Volunteering is a thing.

It's Denmark, they have a pretty robust welfare system that's actually likely paying for this sort of program.

Though I'm not sure if refugees would be able to benefit from it since they're probably not full citizens.

I mean, if they're befitting from that support, I'd say it counts.
