Accusing a user of being a paid troll account is against the rules in most instances, even if you somehow have strong evidence for it.
It's an unfalsifiable claim and is frequently used as a way to harass another user over a disagreement.
YDI.
This is a community in the spirit of "Am I The Asshole" where people can post their own bans from lemmy or reddit or whatever and get some feedback from others whether the ban was justified or not.
Sometimes one just wants to be able to challenge the arguments some mod made and this could be the place for that.
All posts should follow this basic structure:
Expect to receive feedback about your posts, they might even be negative.
Make sure you follow this instance's code of conduct. In other words we won't allow bellyaching about being sanctioned for hate speech or bigotry.
YTPB matrix channel: For real-time discussions about bastards or to appeal mod actions in YPTB itself.
Some acronyms you might see.

Clear violation of the rules regardless of whether they are a paid troll or not. It doesnt matter.
Use the report button next time.
The community rules:
You deserved it, you broke the community rules by accusing someone of being a bad faith actor, which isn't nice.
not calling out bad faith actors is why reddit went to shit in 2015, and it's already happening here thanks to fools like you covering for obvious forum sliding behavior
Do you have proof the user they called out is a paid actor?
Looks like YDI. Badjacketing like that only breeds paranoia
YDI, you broke the rules. Not everyone you disagree with is paid.
How ignorant and close minded are you to post this...
You disagree with someone over an inherently subjective topic and then harrass them. So the mods ban you. Then you proceed to do the same to the mod by posting this.
No one is allowed to have a different opinion than you?
Omg he got banned due to my report lol
For anyone who bothers to read this, @FelixCress@lemmy.world harrassed me for difference in opinion about geopolitical issues. He then proceeded to harass me by following me around and downvoting all my comments and replied to my comments which didn't involve him. He also used multiple accounts/community (which he admitted to) which then did the same.
I also reported his comments. But mainly since I was checking his profile as I recall agreeing with me on a few topics. Broken clock and what not.
He has so many posts in this community. Looks like he is used to getting banned and then throwing a hissy fit.
Is it possible to check other user's mod log?
If you click on the 3 dots below a post or a comment, there is a mod log. $USER moderation history
is what you want.
I think it is not available in Voyager app. What do you use lemmy?
I just use the mobile interface via my web browser, I don't use an app personally. I apologize that I couldn't help ya.
I could not find it in a browser too. I am confused now. Anyways, thanks for helping out
Unsure how this will upload, but this is how it is for my on Firefox for Android. I can tap the 3 dots and then there's the drop down box.
Got it. I was checking the webiste without logging in. After logging in, it works. Thank you for your time and help!
I temporarily banned you for violating the rules of the community more then once
Please use this time to reflect, read, and pray for you have clearly lost your way
News communities are very important to the discussion of events which impact many people lives
When you make these sort of comments the quality of the post is degraded
In addition the rules are clear for all to read
I will pray for the malice which poisons your heart against the fellow man to leave your body and mind
Since you are here mod, make sure to check how he brigades others (or maybe his alt accounts) to downvote and comment on a single target. He has admitted that he posts my content to other communities for such behaviour (the comment has since been deleted by mods). I have some names but I don’t want to take names without proof.
You can contact the lemmy.world admins and use this tool https://lemmy.lvanrem.com/alt to find proof
How does this work? It allows cross instance detection of alt accounts?
Edit - It is just a guess, got it
I am not a .world fan, but you def deserved it. YDI
PTB. I'm not a huge fan of lib russophobia and I know it's against the rules to be "uncivil"... But civilization is a racist myth and tone policing supports hegemony. Let the people make their jokes.
