Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). The guy with a literal Hitler mustache who attacked Sandy Hook parents of dead children isn't a good guy?

I am shocked.

[–] sramder@lemmy.world 16 points 1 week ago (2 children)

OMG!

Show your support for the new right by getting a reverse-hitler shave job 🤣

[–] Triumph@fedia.io 18 points 1 week ago (3 children)

On a related note, the Amish "beard and no mustache" came about because early on, the British Army required mustaches, and the Amish wanted to be sure that they weren't like people who make war.

One of my biggest fears (well, I only think about it when I'm shaving, but you get the idea) is that my electric razor dies before I'm done and I end up with a hitlerstache. I always do that part first, just in case!

[–] P00ptart@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

In the army when I was in, you could only go to the edge of your mouth. Fuck, I need to even it out. Fuck, I went too far again...I need to even it out...oh, oh no. Fuck it I'll look like a child for a week.

I’ve come so close to ordering that weird guide thing you bite down on… but Gibson just ruined it for me. I think it was like the evil sysadmin at blue ant had one or something?

It’s just been way to long since I read a book… not that one specifically, it’s just making me nostalgic for books now.

The most ridiculous part is that monetarily, the onion offer was the better offer. More debt would be gone overall.

[–] bcgm3@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

These are the same folks that routinely choose to eat shit sandwiches in the hopes that a demonrat lib might catch a whiff of their breath.

“We terminated these channels as it’s still against our rules for previously terminated users to start new channels,” according to the company. “The pilot program for terminations that many people have been referencing this week isn’t available yet and will be a limited pilot program to start. We’ll have more on how the program will work, who is eligible, and how creators can access it soon.“

Jones and Fuentes may not be eligible to rejoin under the program even when it does get going.

Jones was taken off YouTube prior to the pandemic in 2018 for violations including hate speech and child endangerment, and Fuentes was banned in 2020 for hate speech.

Basically he heard people who'd been banned where going to be allowed back and went back without looking into the details.

Every microphone, chair and light bulb he used to make his content needs to be taken from him and sold to pay off the money he owes

[–] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago

The Onion won the bid to buy it all, and then a judge stepped in and overturned the auction results.

[–] Nalivai@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

They were on track to do so, but then Americans elected Trump and now he got all his shit back

[–] GladiusB@lemmy.world 35 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Fuck Alex Jones. Fucking waste of a human being.

[–] aeternum@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 week ago (5 children)

he still owes $8B. He has no chance of ever paying it off.

Trump administration ally and Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy compared the removals to the temporary suspension of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, who was briefly taken off the air following pressure from the Trump administration and local affiliates.

Look Vivie, I get it. Critical thinking is something that you struggle with. Sure, Jimmy Kimmel, Nickie Fuentes, and Alex Jonesie are look very similiar with being taken off the air. However, they are not even fucking close.

Jimmy Kimmel was cancelled cause Vivie, your pillow buddy Trumpie pressured ABC and Disney to cancel Jimmy Kimmel. Then you had FCC Chair make mob like threats. This was all over a milquetoast joke. When the government attempts to pressure private individuals on what is acceptable speech, that is a violation of the first amendment.

Private companies can censor people cause the first amendment doesn't apply. However, large media corporations is a threat to democracy. However, Vivie you don't care about that.

“Our country is at its best when we’re able to hear one another. Nick Fuentes & Jimmy Kimmel probably don’t like me, for different reasons,” Ramaswamy wrote on X. “I don’t care. It’s still un-American to muzzle the peaceful expression of opinions. And no, that’s not a legal point, it’s a cultural point.”

Now, you are being delusional Vivie. Yes, Jimmy Kimmel doesn't like because of your politics. Nickie Fuentes doesn't like cause of your skin colour. I'm fairly sure that Jimmy Kimmel doesn't want to take away your rights and throw you in a death camp. Nickie Fuentie on the other hand, would love to take away your rights and throw you into a death camp.

They can't even keep their BS on their own platform. Why are they so desperate to cover youtube in manure?

[–] SoleInvictus@lemmy.blahaj.zone 15 points 1 week ago

This is just yet another way to get visibility. They knew he'd get pulled, which will rile up his base.

I'm sure free speech complaints are already being churned out by fans and bots alike.

Because the only thing keeping the masses distracted enough to not build guillotines is the culture war. If they can't keep their propaganda machines running they'll literally get executed in the streets.

[–] F_State@midwest.social 23 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Alex Jones is most known for just making stuff up and for constantly repeating the phrase "I'm not making this stuff up".

[–] P00ptart@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago

Compared to Joe Rogan's "I'm just asking questions"

"It’s still un-American to muzzle the peaceful expression of opinions."

Alex Jones? Peaceful?

[–] Corporal_Punishment@feddit.uk 15 points 1 week ago (12 children)

I'm struggling to understand why Kirk was targeted and not this piece of shit

[–] Armok_the_bunny@lemmy.world 31 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I would guess there are two reasons: a) Alex Jones isn't making public appearances to my knowledge, and b) Jones has already been pretty well destroyed by the legal system.

[–] Corporal_Punishment@feddit.uk 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Good points.

Although I can see there's still been precious little enforcement of the judgments against him

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

That shit is still ongoing.

Also he circumvented every restraint in the most transparent way possible (different website but same show, company now in wife's name etc.) which might lead to more lawsuits. OTOH in the current political climate the opposite might happen and I'm sure he's banking on that.

I recommend the KnowledgeFight podcast if you're interested in this grifter specifically.

[–] SapphironZA@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 week ago

Because they needed to kill someone who will draw sympathy from the majority of their base.

He's such a dumbass. Dangerously so, but still. I listen to Knowledge Fight, the only way I can consume Alex Jones, but this way I know first hand the weak BS he spouts. Sometimes he cannot help himself doing the same thing that cost him his business and most of his money over his Sandy Hook accusations. A compulsive bullshitter, liar, grifter.

He's proof that "their fight" was never about freedom but about hating on others.

Of course he sells supplements btw.

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago
