1 report: “misinformation”

The accusation and investigation really happened.

The conclusions made by the color commentary are inadmissible and, true or false, funny to read. And I doubt very seriously it was a deliberate attempt to mislead or slander.

General life advice: I discourage the reporter and everyone else from using a meme community as any kind of news source.

Are you suggesting someone lied on the internet? The horror.

[–] Trainguyrom@reddthat.com 2 points 6 days ago

Do you really think someone would do that? Just go on the internet and tell lies?

I'm not the reporter but just for my understanding: Spreading false information about a real person is not misinformation if it is

  • funny
  • maybe not deliberate
  • posted in a meme community

Am I getting this right?

I mean JD Vance couch fucking is false info but its still not misinformation

That's a good point.

The claims were later found to be false, and McClain was cleared.[28]

This keeps getting shared on the fediverse, it's literally just spreading misinformation.

Literally how??

I didn't even know could access your own back records from space, let alone pull off Ocean's Lesbian.

[–] Ilovethebomb@sh.itjust.works 17 points 1 week ago (2 children)

You do realise they have WiFi up there, right?

Imagining the astronauts recording TikToks in between their very serious space experiments.

I know there have been viral videos from space before, but like...

"Jerry? You've been on the space toilet for three hours."

"My bad. I got caught up scrolling Lemmy on my space phone."

[–] Ilovethebomb@sh.itjust.works 2 points 6 days ago

I'd be amazed if nobody has recorded a TikTok on the ISS, given how much public outreach they do.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

No, they ran an Ethernet cable

[–] bigbabybilly@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

[–] Chozo@fedia.io 2 points 1 week ago

Be gay, do [space] crime

[–] zr0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Not stupid at all. While on the ISS, I believe no laws are enforced. So I suppose she did it on purpose while she was in space, to avoid criminal conviction.

[–] swab148@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 week ago

She didn't do it at all, her ex made up some shit.
