Republicans have a Nazi porn problem, again. Virginia Republican lieutenant governor nominee John Reid is facing mounting political pressure after a report tied him to a Tumblr blog that reposted Nazi-themed pornography and violent sexual content. The allegations, which Reid has denied, have fueled fresh calls for his withdrawal from the race.

Nazi porn? Shit....that's only the tenth most serious GOP scandal today.

If no one else has accountability, why even bother thinking that this asshole will?

Without legal enforcement, accountability relies only on shame. And Republicans have none.

MAGAts are the Nazi party in America.

Nazi.....porn.

Huh.

Well, turns out I HAVEN'T seen everything yet. Quite honestly, I'm not even sure how that would work. Is it like nazi guards in uniform, but they're fucking? Are there Jews being murdered here? Is it just guys doing the hitler salute, but not using their arms?

I guess I just don't understand the core concept.

This is a good moment to also ask "do I want to understand the core concept?".

This is a moment where I'm good with ignorance.

In a nutshell, it’s swastika tattoos.

This politician followed an account with a fetishized racial name (“obedient slur”) that that posted, among other things, shirtless men with swastika tattoos and comments about white power.

The politician re-posted a shirtless man in his underwear without any swastikas from that account.

Essentially, to me it looks like the openly gay politician was looking at fetish content and re-posting non-fetish content a long time ago and should have used a different username.

I haven’t looked, but I’m sure all the rest of what you mentioned exists, though. Plus all of them being furries.

[–] dylanmorgan@slrpnk.net 12 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Whoa, whoa, WHOA. Most furries are lovely humans who hate fascism more than average. Don’t lump them in with these freaks.

[–] calliope@retrolemmy.com 4 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago)

Oh yeah, I didn’t mean to indict furries as a whole, but to point out the crossover exists because it’s interesting.

Know Your Meme has a good breakdown of the culture, starting in 2005. Wikifur also has an article about it.

And it’s not hard for all of the things he described to be furry. That’s the joke.

There are explanations of some things in the article (unfortunately I've read them and I wish I had not)

"We're not nazis!" - screams nazi holding nazi porn.

Oh, they're nazis. They're so very, very, very much nazis.

Did they get something wrong, so they're not 'really' nazis? NO. They're fuckup nazis that can't do anything right in their lives. So they hurt others.

[–] verdantbanana@lemmy.world 16 points 7 hours ago

no matter how old one gets always new porn to learn about

This guy has always been a piece of shit. For at least a decade he was a talk show host for local AM radio after the laid back conservative host got run off. I had to quit listening all together to our local news. He's a proud "ex-cop" who never misses a chance to make a situation about himself. I have no idea how he even got the support to run and I really wouldn't be surprised if the majority of Republicans around here are embarrassed by him (Virginia is a special kind of prude after all).

[–] marighost@piefed.social 9 points 7 hours ago (2 children)

First it was Mark "Black Nazi" Robinson in the NC governor's race. Now this guy in Virginia.

[–] DreamAccountant@lemmy.world 11 points 6 hours ago (2 children)

No. FIrst it was Mussolini, then he was hung in the streets. His lifeless body swinging by a rope. Then Hitler, shot himself in the head. Then Tojo was publicly hung after a public trial where he was shamed and executed.

That's the story of nazis. That's how it ends.

These new nazis are no different. They're not worse. They're just copycats.

[–] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 hours ago

Interestingly, when talking about killing humans, the past tense of hang is in fact “hanged”.

Franco lived to 82, unfortunately.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 6 points 5 hours ago

Still valiantly holding on in his fight to remain dead.

[–] PeacefulForest@lemmy.world 5 points 6 hours ago

Those tricky Nazis, always trying to outdo themselves

[–] Pxtl@lemmy.ca 3 points 6 hours ago

... I'd have two nickels - which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
