SugarCatDestroyer is a conspiracy theorist who regularly post odd/obscure memes. I'm not saying anything about what they believe, but if you see their name then safe to assume they are coming out left field so to speak.

Not really possible, Signal doesn't have the keys to turn over. Governments only option is to ban Signal.

That's why you use Discord for friendly chats, and Signal as a side channel for anything political.
Yeah I use both to be clear. I just don’t see them as alternatives to one another.
Though I do use discord for some political stuff. I like to do legal resistance in public to normalize it and reduce the fear. That’s how they control us.
Signal is for more confidential stuff :)

It's more-or-less a self-hostable Discord clone (but there are plenty of public instances you can join).
There are also Matrix bridges that let you join chats on other apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, etc.
Yes, Discords features are needed for managing large groups. But for playing games with a small friend group none of the more advanced features are really necessary.
Discord was never secure and a private for profit org was never going to stay good.
