I don't know about this mid-October one, but for the Satanic Temple there is Lupercalia on February 15th, which is "hail yourself" day, so pretty much Treat-yo-self day. The two days prior are for feasting.

My wife and I take those three days and each of us takes one day to treat ourselves while the other watches the kids and handles things. And the third day of the three ends up being feasting (where we order out from each person's favorite restaurant and have a feast of everything).

For parents, I highly recommend it.

I'm glad two characters suffering Selective Contextual Blindness found support in each other.

Serious question: Is treat yourself day a thing?

Never heard about it before, but I did happen to put in an order for 6 spools of PETG filament and misc electronics for a hobby project on Oct 13th..

it's from parks and recreation, the characters donna & tom have an annual day where they treat themselves to various pampering and nice things.

the date wasn't mentioned "in world", but that episode aired on the 13th of october 2011, hence that day being picked as the official treat yourself day!

I do remember that from P&R, come to think about it. I just didn't know it sparked anything outside of the series.

I mean obviously not tv level but it was a concept before then.

This is probably why our neighbors across the street have two of these looming over their yard all year

I have two thoughts on that:

  1. Home Depot skeletons so huge, most people don't have any place to store them the rest of the year.

  2. Must be nice to have yard-decorating freedom with no HOA.

I refuse to be subject to an HOA. I do not tolerate petty tyrants.

You're very fortunate to have found ANY home nowadays that's not in an HOA. Hard to find.

It's one of the criteria we gave to our realtor. He was very diligent.

There's a house near me that had two giant human skeletons (but different heights, so it came across as husband and wife), and a dog skeleton, well after Halloween last year. But one by one they disappeared, and all three are gone now. :( It was always fun to glance over at just the right moment while I was riding by on my bicycle.

What does a skeleton turn into when it dies? A ghost?

I haven't stopped to check.

Guitar Band is just a bunch of posers making songs derivative of Music Band
