But neither of them were principled enough to convict Trump for Jan 6th.
Americans voted him back in before Jack Smith could charge him.
He wasn't even appointed to investigate by Merrick Garland until nearly 18 months after he took office, which was already 2 months after the Insurrection.
There was enough time if they hadn't waited to decide whether to even bother with defending the country.

I live in a relatively rural area and my local watering hole has people who genuinely believe their cost of living and groceries have gone down since Trump took office and that America is on the right path again.
