Democrats should be playing an ad with that comment non-stop.

Rules:
-
Rule 1: posts have the following requirements:
- Post news articles only
- Video links are NOT articles and will be removed.
- Title must match the article headline
- Not United States Internal News
- Recent (Past 30 Days)
- Screenshots/links to other social media sites (Twitter/X/Facebook/Youtube/reddit, etc.) are explicitly forbidden, as are link shorteners.
-
Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. The key points in 1-2 paragraphs is allowed (even encouraged!), but large segments of articles posted in the body will result in the post being removed. If you have to stop and think "Is this fair use?", it probably isn't. Archive links, especially the ones created on link submission, are absolutely allowed but those that avoid paywalls are not.
-
Rule 3: Opinions articles, or Articles based on misinformation/propaganda may be removed.
-
Rule 4: Posts or comments that are homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, anti-religious, or ableist will be removed. “Ironic” prejudice is just prejudiced.
-
Posts and comments must abide by the lemmy.world terms of service UPDATED AS OF OCTOBER 19 2025
-
Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
-
Rule 6: Memes, spam, other low effort posting, reposts, misinformation, advocating violence, off-topic, trolling, offensive, regarding the moderators or meta in content may be removed at any time.
-
Rule 7: We didn't USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

They also need to play, "take the guns now and figure out due process later."
Remember all those Biden "I did that" stickers?

These exist, but please don't get a bunch and vandalize property.
I do not live in the US, though I appreciate the suggestion :p
Part of me wonders if those who'd stick on the Bifen version would even realise the irony of the situation. Some of them are so far gone they'll happily flipflop along with Trump's mood dujour, all that matters is that it's their "team" and that they're "winning".
Are you tired of 'winning' yet?
Burn, baby, burn
Turns out owning the libs is really fucking expensive.
"If they can't afford oil, let them eat cake."
We have literally reached this moment in American history, and Trump is too virtuosically ignorant to understand what it means.
"If they can't buy gas, let them burn vodka."
Exactly what came to mind. How many months of life do you think these idiots have left if they keep letting costs rise and people start to starve?
I can't speak for California, but in Ohio we haven't really come close to Obama or Biden gas prices yet. And we've had a ton of inflation since Obama.
Whataboutism
Real big "some of you may die, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make" energy here. I wonder if he's just going all in on rigging the election so he's not even trying to keep voters happy.
Midterms are so difficult to rig that it would be impossible on a nationwide basis. All you can do is influence it with gerrymandering, and the kind of intimidation and suppression tactics they've been trying, which are hit & miss.
Presidential elections are much easier. You only have to rig one race in only seven states, and they proved they could do that in 2024.
That's why there were millions of straight Democratic ballots, with Trump at the top, all concentrated in the swing states. Nobody votes that way, NOBODY. Yet the Dems declared the race "fair & square" on Election Night, as if the one election Trump needed to win to stay out of prison, was the one time in his entire life that he didn't cheat.
They'll get crushed in the next Midterm, but the 2028 Presidential Election is going to be a major problem. I expect he'll try to do some sort of write-in campaign, then claim that so many people wrote his name in that it disqualifies the Constitution, and he will remain president, by popular demand.
That's why there were millions of straight Democratic ballots, with Trump at the top, all concentrated in the swing states. Nobody votes that way, NOBODY.
What do you mean by this?
I mean just what I said. There were MILLIONS of ballots that were straight Democratic tickets, except Trump as president, and they were concentrated in the Swing States. Obviously they hacked the machines, and flipped votes from Harris to Trump.
That's how he won EVERY swing state, a statistical impossibility, AND the "popular vote," the first time a Republican won it since Reagan in 1994. They couldn't even let Harris win a couple, just to make it look plausible. No, he had to go full dictator, and claim the ENTIRE country voted for him in a LANDSLIDE.
Have you ever spoken to someone who voted all Democrat, except for Trump for president? Have you every seen one on TV? Since those people decided the entire race, why didn't any media outlet collect a bunch together in a panel, and ask them to explain? Where are those people? Who are those people?
Show me ONE.
And yet Schmuck, Jeffries, and the DNC immediately declared the election "fair & square," because they were far more interested in demonstrating to MAGA and the world what a "peaceful transition of power" looks like, as if we hadn't seen that 45 times before. So we never had even the slightest interest in investigating the MANY reports of election improprieties in the 2024 election.
When this is over, and we are intensely investigating MAGA's many crimes, we should also look into what the Dem leadership was up to, because it sure looks like they were cooperating with MAGA on many occasions, including the obvious rigging of the 2024 election.
Thanks for the additional explanations, I'm not from the US so I'm not too familiar with how voting works there.
I'm still not sure I understand what "straight Democratic tickets" mean. Is it people who only voted Democratic before and this was their first time voting Republican?
If that's the case, I'd be interested to read more about this if there are some sources you know of. It sounds like pretty solid evidence for election rigging.
I'm still not sure I understand what "straight Democratic tickets" mean. Is it people who only voted Democratic before and this was their first time voting Republican?
No, it means they only vote for the candidates from their party.
Generally American voters are either Republican or Democrat (or Independent, like me), and they generally vote for all the candidates from their party. Not always, sometimes there's a candidate from you party that you particularly hate for some reason, or a candidate from the other party that you like, but generally people vote for their own party. That's a "straight party ticket."
The ballot always includes much more than just the presidential race. Every two years, every member of the House of Representatives runs for reelection. Every six years, Senators run. Governors are running, along with a lot of other state seats like state legislatures. Then there are municipal races for your county and city - mayors, councilmen, school board, tax collector, clerk of courts, judges, dog catcher, etc.
So if someone is a strong party voter, they'll just vote a "Straight Ticket," with every vote for their own party. In the old days, with the old voting machines, there was even a switch you could flip as soon as you started, that would automatically cast your party vote for every race, so you didn't have to flip 20 switches.
So it would be really weird for someone to be such a strong Democratic voter that they check off every Democratic box, and then cast their presidential vote for Trump. I could see them voting for their Republican neighbor for dog catcher, because he's kind to animals, but generally, the higher the election goes, the more likely you are to vote for YOUR party.
The idea that someone would vote a straight Democratic ticket, then vote for Trump as president, makes no plausible sense at all. Worse, literally nobody from either party has questioned it at all.
Re: straight democrat tickets with trump for president. Do you have a source on this? I'd like to read more about it.
Like I said, NOBODY is investigating it, so there is very little except lots of things from lots of sources.
Here's something that points to what I'm talking about:
in the seven swing states – Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin – there was an inverse trend: the Democratic vote dropped very slightly but held up quite well compared to 2020, but Trump made enough gains to give him the White House. A large part of Democratic campaign spending was focused on the swing states, suggesting that this helped buoy up Democratic support – but not enough to overcome a wave of additional Trump voters.
...
In the swing states – Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Nevada, Georgia and North Carolina – the story was one of increasing Republican votes. About 303 counties had seen larger increases in the Trump vote than any major change in the numbers voting Democrat. Meanwhile, 66 counties saw outsized shrinkage of Democratic votes.
Swing states: how Democratic vote stayed flat while Republican gains won it for Trump
So the story in the Swing States was that the Democratic vote stayed strong, while the Trump vote increased...why? What was the reason for the sudden rise in Trump voters in those states? Why weren't they there in 2016, or 2020? After not voting for him twice, they saw him throw an Insurrection and steal hundreds of documents as thought they'd vote for him for president, even though they were going to continue to vote Democrat for everyone else?
Florida, which was an evenly split state for decades, is no longer considered a swing state because so many MAGAs moved there, that they now have a 600K lead. But that doesn't seem to be the case with these states. Their Democratic voter base stayed relatively consistent, but suddenly there were a lot of Trump voters.
All they had to do was flip less than 1% of the vote, and both Musk and Putin openly contributed their experienced professional hacking teams. Lean on the the Doge Douchebags, and they'll spew the whole sordid scheme.
He did make exactly that claim during his campaign. "We're gonna fix it so good you never have to vote again."
I'm so tired. Trump has done enough as to where everyone should hate him and somehow not enough people do. Why even report on him anymore? Why read about Trump anymore? Nothing surprises me. He's going to do whatever he wants, and no one is going to stop him.
Tbh, he did enough shit that he would be publicly executed in half of democratic world by now...
We're soft and have abundance now. Wait until the food gets scarce.
His base only follows the news that the billionaires want them to see. They will never see this and if you share it or try show them they call it fake news
Hey, almost like the point of all this shit is to batter libs into complacency when the system does excactly what it has always and will always do but now they're not as benefited by it in the same way they used to be.
Literally, it would only take one person to stop him, or people near him, or destroy any property of companies that support him with the explicit objective to punish that support. It also has been happening, more than they'd ever admit, but because the system is not overturned the day after middle class libs sour on it, they turn to doomerism because that is the preferable option to accepting the work.
So, my options are either presidential assassination or ignore Trump news?
I'll not be assassinating anyone and you won't suggest anything productive other than some kumbaya, "take care of your neighbors" bullshit. So, to take care of my mental health, I'll avoid every single tiny thing he does that media garnishes outage with.
Lmao, yup, exactly that's the point. We all know you have a reaper drown in your garage.
That you seriously did not consider what the work I had referred to was before literally cringing at the thought of participating in mutual aid to any degree is honestly too perfect of a response.
You seriously do not even fucking know what you think dude, maybe you shouldnt just wallow and at the very least try to learn how to exercise whatever power you do have to everyone else's benefit.
Who's wallowing? All I'm saying is that I'm not going to consume media about Trump, because I didn't want to anymore.
You've yet to say anything of any substance. You pretty much said I should assassinate someone. Any other advice?
"I'm so tired. Trump has done enough as to where everyone should hate him and somehow not enough people do. Why even report on him anymore? Why read about Trump anymore? Nothing surprises me. He's going to do whatever he wants, and no one is going to stop him. "
Literally you started this by declaring that not enough people are doing this and it'd be pointless to try anyway. You liberal doomers are the fuckin worse because you're also too fucking emotionally repressed to even be open about it.
Someone could fucking assassinate him, it would only take one persob and it would do a lot for all of us. You're betting on it even, and expect the entire system to change now, all of the sudden, because it now makes you upset. Do you have any fucking clue how many people, how many generations of people have fought US imperialism from within the US? Oh does it bother you to never be able to escape information about how this system targets you? How could anyone else understand that feeling!?
Get fucking real dude, if the most you can do is go "sing kumbaya" with your neighbours, you should he doing it then. How many people in your community even just need a ride to work, emotional support, groceries, do you know how to fix shit people need? Like, holy fuck how do you think it makes you sound superior to be such a selfish person? Youre despairing? Reach out to others like how the rest of us have had to do to help.
I'm not reading your novel, sorry. Go do something fun.
Liberal thinks four paragraphs is a novel. Go figure.
So... What are you doing rn?
At this point? Really noticing the liberal migration from reddit.
Strange enough it feels like we ended up here instead:
Trump has done enough as to where everyone ~~should hate him~~ hates americans

"I mean it's one gallon of gas, J.D. How much can it cost?"
James Donald, it was not a Grey Poupon rhetorical question, you’re my VICE President, I depend on your Buckeye wisdom
"Let them eat cake!"
Let them burn ethanol!
LET THEM BURN EARTH!!!
Biodiesel might actually be meaningful, given that diesel prices in particular are way up and soy exports are down.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biodiesel_in_the_United_States
Biodiesel is commercially available in most oilseed-producing states in the United States. As of 2023, it is less expensive than petroleum-diesel,[1] though it is still commonly produced in relatively small quantities (in comparison to petroleum products and ethanol fuel).
I don't know how practical it is to scale up production, though. And fertilizer's probably a global market, so fertilizer prices in the US are going to be up, even aside from Trump's trade restrictions.

It sounds like some places are looking into it.
Brazil weighs fast-tracking biodiesel tests as diesel prices spike
BRASILIA, April 8 (Reuters) - Brazil's government is looking at ways to accelerate testing of higher biodiesel blends in diesel, aiming to reach a conclusion this year, the head of a soy crushers association said on Wednesday, amid a spike in fuel prices due to the Iran war.
The measure could boost soybean demand in the world's largest producer of the oilseed, most of which is shipped to China for animal feed. Brazil's biofuels industry has seized on the disruptions to oil and gas supplies in the Middle East as a chance to push for higher mandated blends of soy-based diesel and ethanol in gasoline.
Latin America's largest economy imports about a quarter of the diesel it consumes. As Brazilian biodiesel is now cheaper than diesel, higher blends enhance energy security, Nassar said.
"We have an asset that guarantees energy security and will never be in short supply, as Brazil has abundant feedstock," he said. "This war could drag on ... We need a much shorter timeline to complete the tests."
Indonesia’s B50 Pivot Shows War Is Stoking Global Biofuel Demand
Indonesia’s abrupt pivot to expand its biodiesel mandate is the latest sign of how the war in Iran is reshaping energy policy, tightening global vegetable oil supplies as more gets funneled into fuel.
The world’s top palm oil producer will implement its B50 program — an ambitious target to boost the level of biodiesel blended in its fuel to 50% — starting from July 1, Airlangga Hartarto, coordinating minister for economic affairs announced late Tuesday. The move is part of efforts to mitigate energy supply disruptions wrought by the conflict, with Airlangga saying it could reduce fossil fuel consumption by 4 million kiloliters annually.
Can't wait until food gets more expensive because land that was used for growing food is going to be used for bio-fuel.
Hopefully, being stupid enough to support characters like this orange turd will be as socially unacceptable as taking a dump in the middle of the street... if we survive this one
He's boasting/encouraging world to come outbid US refineries for oil exports.
