I’d rather see Carter over Whitehair at this point. Cody’s awful.

Cody is one of the longest (the longest?) tenured bears on the team. Most of those years were above average o-line play. Cut the guy some slack and quit talking shit about guys who stuck by the team.

Whitehair is 31. Tough line of work once you're past 30. He had a good career.

Football obviously gets tougher for everybody as they go up on age but O-Line is one of the rare positions where you can remain relevant well into your 30's

Some of the better guys can play well in to their 30s, but the average Joes kind of just wash out or become reserve guys.

Ehh once he got paid back in 2018 he has been pretty awful ever since.

Bagent did good under the prior OL combo (Quicker progressions/reads/windup)

Lets see how Fields does now w a different lineup in the trenches (and a new fire under him)

white hair is a fat old slob and needed to be cut last year for cap savings

Goodbye Cody Whitehair

[–] emaugustBRDLC@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I do wish we could have just let Cody be an all pro guard and never messed around with him at center. Maybe it wouldn't have made a difference but I feel like moving him around did not help him very much.

Jesus can we have some damn consistency for once on this oline?

[–] JulioXstatic@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yea when people aren't injured we'd all prefer this combo more consistently. Too bad people get injured and the line gets messed up with rearranging people in the meantime....

But complaining about the right combo coming back into place isn't it fam

Cutting Whitehair is integral to building our o line up for next year. Him and Eddie will go down as bears legends. But when we inevitably cut them, we can’t be on the sideline in free agency next year.

Our line had been playing very well, at least a lot better than it did before JF got hurt. Teven coming back was huge. I was excited to see how he would do without having to run for his life every play.

[–] N0S0UP_4U@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

For those of you who can’t keep track of all the changes, this means the line is now going to be (from left to right) Jones, Jenkins, Patrick, Davis, and Wright.

[–] calculated_brutality@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Nate should go to left guard and keep Tevin on the right
