You don’t care about winning if you tolerate multiple insane collapses in the same season.

Eberflus and Getsy are more of a problem to this team than Justin is.

I'm thinking ebergetsy has an intelligence disability. Like why in the fuck would you do that? Fields tbh did fields things. Played great but I'm still not sure if he's the guy or not. LOVED that he yelled at feeney though and he did the celebration after that run.

Trading Bryce Young for Darnell Wright, DJ Moore, the current #1 overall pick, and a 2025 2nd is looking better every damn day.

Is it possible Herbert forces his way out and we can get him plus pick up Marvin Harrison Jr in the draft?

Fields was fine yesterday. B+ performance. He wasn’t the reason we lost, and he wouldn’t have been the reason we won if we won. I still don’t think he’s the guy going forward but if he plays like that going forward consistently we can have the conversation.

I just heard breaking news on the radio and the guy said, "this isn't surprising as a change was obviously needed. Zach Wilson is out as the QB for the Jets". Dang, really got my hopes up that Eberflus was gone.

If he plays like yesterday or a tiny bit better the rest for the year, I like the situation we are in. I believe we can win with him, and the draft capital and cap space can set us up nicely.

Or you can still trade him and his value will be reasonable. If Darnold was still worth a bit more than a 2nd, Justin with a couple of more quality games should be worth at least that

Justin may not be mahomes, but he’s the best bears qb I’ve ever seen and would be happy to roll with him next year. There are way too many people here whose entire identities are defined by Justin Fields (good or bad). Whether any little bit of criticism drives you into a tizzy, or anyone daring to be remotely positive turns you into an insane person, I’m pretty sure both are mental health issues.

Some good news!

Bears DT Gervon Dexter (11.3%) is now 2nd in pass rush win rate amongst rookie DTs (Jalen Carter 19.1%).

Ahead of 1st round picks like Calijah Kancey (10.5%), Mazi Smith (10.4%), and Bryan Bresee (6%)

Big picture yesterday was probably a good result:

- Almost all of us want this coaching staff gone; if they win these games the chances they stay around are probably much higher

- If you are a "Keep Fields" person he played fairly well and mostly avoided big mistakes/negative plays

- If you are a "draft a new QB" person Fields played well enough to keep his trade value in a decent spot

- This team is winning nothing this year - and even a single win could have a major negative impact on our draft position

TLDR - if you really want Eberflus gone then painful losses where he looks terrible probably give us the best chance of that happenning.

Which is better for next year:

1. Flus and Fields stay, replace Getzy, get mhj or trade down.

2. Fire all 3 and take a qb 1st overall, resetting the qb clock.

Seeing people talk about keeping Fields another season makes me realize there’s no end in sight. We might never be good again.

What people have already forgotten is that Fields wasn't even 100%. He threw absolutely dimes to Moore and Scott. Made some nice throws to Mooney too. Where was Kmet in the 2nd half? I saw more Lewis and Tonyan. Was he out? Herbert and Fields clearly were not 100%. I think both will be better next game.

If Poles does not can Eberflus on Black Monday, I don’t think I can go on with this fkn team.

Aw man, they didn’t fire them yet? Sigh alright I’ll watch again next week to see if Fields improved and if the coaching staff gets fired

I feel like I’ve looked hard enough and haven’t seen anyone mention how if Jaylon Johnson could catch the football, the Lions first touchdown is turned into 6 the other way. Love his coverage skills, but damn that is the exact play we’ve all been waiting for.

Eberflus has no shame at all. Neither does George McCaskey.

If bears end up with #1 and #2 there’s a good chance they can get Harbaugh. I think Harbaugh is done at Michigan, he’s wearing out his welcome and this is his last best chance to beat Ohio State and get a national championship. But he’ll only come to Chicago if it’s a good enough situation he’s not going to take over a long rebuild.

If bears are in position to grt Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison Jr that might be enough to convince Harbaugh to come to Chicago over LAC who I think is probably going to be best team looking for a new coach.

I'm happy my prognostication didn't come true.

If I have to hear the word “execution” out of Eberflus’s mouth one more time, I’m going to execute my eyeballs out of my sockets.
