Saw an earlier post before Fields was injured. DJ Moore was on pace for 1800+ YDs and 17 TDs. Was a dream BUT he could still potentially break some Bears records this year.

He’s now on pace for close to 1300 yards and 9 TDs (I rounded up). Averages deflated due to Bagent. 1500 yards and 12 TDs is not impossible with Justin Fields.

The only WRs to break 1500 yards for the Bears are 2012 Brandon Marshall(11 TDs), 2013 Alshon Jeffrey(7 TDs) and 1999 Marcus Robinson(9 TDs).

1970 Dick Gordon and 1947 Ken Kavanaugh hold the single season Bears TD record at 13.

DJ Fucking Moore.

Massive year. Congrats to moore. Now get the rest of the boys to come around

[–] FinancialTwo4205@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Dude is an absolute monster. I love him.

[–] The_Bandit_King_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Bustin hardly runs the ball

[–] whatlambda@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Sucks how Bears QB's are ruining this guy /s

[–] ForensicFiles88@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

Might already be the best WR the Bears have ever had lol.

[–] DaBigBlackDaddy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (5 children)

Every time I see comments like these the more and more I’m convinced that 90 percent of the people here started watching 2 years ago. DJ isn’t anywhere near what B-Marsh was for us

Brandon Marshall was the best Bears wr I've seen. He also had a capable QB. If Moore sticks around he'll be the best in Bears history.

[–] CheapoA2@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yeah, was said about Robinson too. ARob couldnt hold Marshall's jockstrap. Itll all depend on DJ's longevity with the team but a half season doesnt not make DJ the best WR we've ever had.

[–] kuj0@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Doesn’t not… πŸ€”

[–] OpneFall@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Marshall was a legit Top 3 WR and he was only top 3 because he played at the same time as peak Calvin and Andre Johnson

[–] Philip_Marlowe@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

There were a lot of great #1 WRs in the league around that time. The two you mentioned, plus Fitz, Julio, AJ Green, Demaryius Thomas, Jordy Nelson, Antonio Brown, Josh Gordon. I'm sure there are others, but those are just a few of the WR1 names that come to mind.

In his era, Marshall is firmly Top 10 and probably Top 5, but it's hard to say he was the best of his generation when his generation included so many incredible players.

[–] ForensicFiles88@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I definitely remember the Cutler/Forte/Marshall/Jeffery days!

Moore is on pace to put up numbers close to Marshall's first 2 years as a Bear. Not quite as good as Marshall's 2012, but right about the same or maybe even a little better than his 2013.

[–] Subpars0up@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Hes also doing it in a completely broken and pedestrian offensive system that routinely forgets he exists - Imagine what he would do in a competent offense

[–] abullshtname@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Lol that’s what we used to say about Cutler/Marshall/Jeffery too.

[–] Crathsor@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Marshall was never forgotten while Cutler was throwing.

[–] Subpars0up@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The Bears were third in scoring offense before Cutler got hurt in 2012 and finished second in scoring in 2013. The Bears are somewhere around 20th this season.

[–] abullshtname@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

And there were still also fans arguing that QB was the only thing holding us back.

My point is some things never change.

[–] abullshtname@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He made it look effortless at times. Like he was playing against JV squads instead of NFL defenses.

[–] hoggin88@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Brandon Marshall was a badass motherfucker.

[–] ForensicFiles88@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He sure was!

[–] snowcone_wars@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

But meatballs here will continue to whine about Fields not having weapons.

[–] Gryffindorq@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

love this dude

Shoutout to whichever redditor commented about this fanduel bet back in July. Might be my only winning bet of the season.

[–] kuj0@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Ez bet πŸ’―

[–] Apotheosis69420@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Get him another 230 yard game and he’ll almost be back on track

[–] i_heart_pasta@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’m so happy he’s having fun

[–] bourgeoisiebrat@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He successfully put the β€œhe’s not an alpha” crowd to bed

[–] blacklite911@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He definitely got that dog in him. Could probably build around the duo.

[–] The_Bandit_King_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Not if bustin Fields throws for 150 yards per game

[–] kuj0@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Even if you feel like hating on Fields for whatever reasons, those 150 yards would be to… DJ Moore πŸ‘

[–] CutMeDeeply@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

YouTube level comment. Good job🀣

[–] OkBoomer6919@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Imagine him with a QB that can throw

[–] Delicious-Ad3446@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I have someone offering DJ Moore for Mattison and Zay Flowers.. should I take this ??

My wr dept is kinda lacking

I have hurts as qb Cmc rhamondre mattison moss singletary and Donta as my rbs so I don’t mind giving up mattison

Friday is deadline any advice

[–] pma198005@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He's cooking with Justin Fields

[–] Happy_Bigs1021@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

People always forget DJ but dude was putting up WR1 numbers with xfl QBs for years

[–] FattyLumps@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] TheManWhoWasNotShort@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I swear Carolina always has these all-star WRs that spend so much of their careers just being wasted. Steve Smith, Muhsin Muhammad, DJ Moore… at least Smith got a few years of Cam but man having Moose and Smith on your roster and Jake Delhomme throwing to them is just criminal

[–] mateorayo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I mean Moose and steve smith both went to the super bowl with the panthers and Jake Delhomme

[–] EddyTheDesigner@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s going to look nasty lining up opposite of MH Jr.

[–] IrishGrouch34@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I remember when Panthers fans tried to convince themselves he wasn’t a number 1 guy

[–] Spotlessmnd6@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Both would be career highs for him. His previous career high for yards was 1193 and TDs were 7. Playing with Justin is helping him out too

[–] ChillyRyUpNorth@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

DJ does it with hitting 10 targets exactly once this year too

[–] Only_Garbage_8885@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Guy is so good. He is taking most of the focus on the passing game and still getting it done. He is a better Debo. Both can break tackles, Debo is better at that, but unlike Debo Moore runs great routes and can get open.

[–] Jorikstead@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Calvin Johnson was on the 0-16 Lions. They used the resulting pick to draft Matthew Stafford.

NONE OF THIS WORKS WITHOUT A QUARTERBACK. Am I crazy for wanting wins instead of individual records and highlights?

[–] The_Bandit_King_@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Does bustin even run the ball anymore??? Defenses have stopped him.

[–] kuj0@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Aaaand there’s the 1000 yard season πŸ‘‘ Right on pace for the 1300.
