Even on Claypool, he gave the dude a chance to turn his shit around, dude didn't, bam he was gone. Poles didn't get all precious about it.

Packers went 6-9-1 with Aaron Rodgers, too. Shit happens, and it's a team sport.
Any backup will struggle. If you play nothing but good games, you're a starter. Bagent didn't make a ton of mistakes and didn't look lost. Compared to a lot of backups we have had here, that's improvement, not a mirage.
I doubt they even make a decision until the end of the year. What's the rush? Anyone we want to hire isn't available to interview until post-season anyway.
Sure Ryan Poles would be hiring the HC.

I realize this isn't going to be a popular take, but if Eberflus wins 2 of the next 3 games, he should be back, IMO. After that I think it matters less.
Andy Dalton was by far the better QB at the time. Truthfully, Justin shouldn't have even been the backup. He should have been inactive. Dude got thrown to the wolves before he was ready.
