Cardinals may dump him and draft QB this off season. He may be a good veteran fit for the bears.

If we somehow end up outside of the Williams/maye tier in the draft, I wouldn't love it but it might be the best of a bad situation

Idk why so many responses are saying no. Kyler is already a top-15 QB in the league and would be the best Bears QB we've had in the past decade. Arizona would absorb a ton of dead money from dealing him, so we'd have him locked up for under $40M/year.

I have no idea what it would cost to get him, but saying no so strongly and quickly doesn't make sense to me.

Everything you said is true but also the cost of trading for a guy like that is 3 1st round picks usually. You can't do that with out team, we have wholes and those picks would be too high.

If the Bears were just a QB away from contention I'd do it in a heart beat

Best since Sid Luckman

Per Spotrac and CBS Sports, getting rid of Murray would be a cap hit of more than $81M in dead money.

He’s not going anywhere this offseason

as long as he's ok with league minimum and being a mentor for fields.

If we had a championship level roster sure. But we still have a fair amount of building to do, so no.

It’s better to pay a rookie

[–] FaithfulBarnabas@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Not if the rookie is bad, which they always are here

Why in the world would we trade for the expense midget

[–] YoHoochIsCrazy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Y’all would rather have a mystery box QB than a proven NFL quarterback? I know the salary is different but come on. We’ve never had success drafting QBs. Never.

[–] FaithfulBarnabas@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This. I’m 44 and have been watching the Bears forever. We never get the right guy, plus we don’t know how to develop a QB. Caleb Williams in a great organization with good coaching may be better than Kyler Murray, on the Bears the chances are next to zero

Hmm, now we want a smaller version of Justin Fields that gets hurt more often?

[–] SD40couple@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Probably the worst idea i have seen, and this is reddit.

There is a reason the cardinals dont want him and would probably give draft picks with him to unload that contract.

I think Kyler Murray would be a great QB for the bears - if you like seeing your QB throw the football into a lineman’s helmet 3-4 times a game.

Extremely opposed.
