Have you ever raised a baby? They're 90% drama, 10% sleep. Guaranteed the early days of the Truman Show were flooded with parents watching the actor mom struggle to deal with the constant crying. Crying because hungry, refusing to eat because they're too busy crying, crying because they're tired, but too busy crying to sleep. I bet tons of parents were watching it, commiserating, or judging, or arguing about how she should be doing this instead of that. The drama writes itself.

Not to mention the moments when they're being extremely cute. When they roll over in bed and stare wide eyed at a stuffed toy, then flail at it and coo little baby noises at it. Maybe bite on it and shake it around like a little puppy. People love that shit. If a live stream of a fixed camera in a car cafe can get millions of views, a live stream of a baby doing baby things can easily get lots of viewers.

To be fair, though the early video game industry was created by and included a diverse group of people, the games themselves were made to sell their niche demographic. At the time that was young white boys. As a result not many games of the early era showcased the positive side of diversity, and often times portrayed it negatively, even if it wasn't intentional.

The past these people are comparing modern games to isn't imagined, it's real. As the gaming industry has grown to the now extremely large range of people it has, and through a shift in social culture over the years, the content, intent, and purpose of the games themselves have drastically changed.

The people who complain about "woke" games main program isn't an issue with games, but more about their inability to accept the societal and cultural changes happening around them. They refuse to accept that the types of games they loved as a kid had a lot of problematic cultural issues.

So basically they're mad that the racist and/or homophobic and/or sexist themes that they loved in old in games aren't acceptable anymore.

Well to be fair, Microsoft has been in the scumbag game a lot longer than Google. They're professional about screwing you over. Google is a bit more blatant about the whole, we control you and don't care what you think, thing.

It's kinda like saying I trust Lex Luthor far more than Harvey Dent.

I honestly thought it was a real headline.

Seen it.

Seen it.

Seen it. Love it, maybe a rewatch?

Boring.

I don't care about cake.

Maybe, but I'm not into tv dramas...

Have I died yet?

Us government here: we believe this is completely unacceptable behavior, and codem the actions of these people. So in response we will give Israel $30,000,000,000 and kindly ask them to use nicer words in their chants.

That honestly looks like a better design than the original N64 controller. I mean access to both the Z and the L button without having to change your grip, hell it's like it's actually functional.

Our local mall has an area like this with a little coin-op train and nothing else. I put my 2 year old's, who are always happy to play with a train anytime, anywhere, in the train to happily scream "choochoo!!" And cackle at each other, so they can liven up the otherwise sad area a bit.
